Image: The coming Delta lockdown is DESIGNED to invoke nationwide protests so they can be exploited as a backdrop for false flag event to blame “anti-vaxxers”

(Natural News) Within the next 12 days, multiple sources have told us, the pretender-in-chief Joe Biden will announce a nationwide lockdown, fraudulently blaming the “delta” variant and “anti-vaxxers” for the overzealous action. The lockdown will have no specific end date, and it is likely to be strongly resisted by red states, while blue states will effectively be turned into medical police states with brutal enforcement of the lockdown measures.

Most importantly, the new lockdown will be perceived as so overreaching and totalitarian that nationwide protests will soon commence.

This is actually all part of the plan. The lockdown push is being engineered to invoke a backlash, even among Leftists who will join conservatives in taking to the streets to protest the medical tyranny.

This backdrop of nationwide protests is the setting needed by the deep state to stage a violent false flag event that I’m told will most likely target a medical facility or medical group of some kind. The FBI will of course be running this just like they ran the Whitmer “kidnapping” in Michigan as well as the Jan. 6th “capitol siege” false flag operation. Nearly every act of terrorism in America over the last two decades has been plotted and spearheaded by the corrupt FBI, and there’s little question they are planning a new theatrical caper to place blame on so-called “anti-vaxxers.”

The covid criminals are desperately creating a new crisis to cover up their previous crimes

The swamp criminals who ran this entire covid plandemic are getting desperate, you see, and they need to create a new crisis to try to seize even more power. Here’s how this plan will work, according to multiple sources:

Step 1) Biden announces a nationwide, overreaching lockdown.

Step 2) Americans react against the medical tyranny and take to the streets in peaceful protests.

Step 3) The criminal Biden regime exploits the chaos of the protests to stage a violent false flag attack against a medical facility so that blame can be placed on gun owners who are also “anti-vaxxers.”

Step 4) CNN runs with the staged footage, claiming anti-vaxxers are terrorists. The entire media jumps on the engineered narrative to whip up mass hysteria and hatred against the unvaccinated. This further divides America while the media whips up the emotions to insane levels.

Step 5) Biden uses the emotional hysteria to issue an executive order outlawing all gun ownership by civilians. Yes, it’s illegal and unconstitutional, but he will try it. Many red states will denounce the effort, and this will accelerate the splintering of the United States of America as red states realize they can no longer maintain any allegiance to a criminal swamp cabal that recognizes no limits of government power.

Step 6) Biden launches door-to-door “strike force” teams, now heavily armed up after the false flag theater, to forcibly vaccinate people at gunpoint and confiscate their firearms.

The no-holds-barred war on the American people thereby commences. Mass executions on the streets of America. Bloodshed on a scale never before witnessed. U.S. military troops turned against innocent civilians and doctors who promoted vitamin D instead of toxic spike protein injections.

It’s all coming, and the beginning steps are now just two weeks away (or less).

My advice on peaceful protesting

As I explain in my podcast below, here’s what I suggest you keep in mind when joining the peaceful protests against medical tyranny:

  1. NEVER bring weapons to any protest. Not even pepper spray. If you bring weapons, you may wind up ensnared in another FBI false flag terror plot.
  2. DO NOT trespass into any building, including a hospital or clinic. This is how they arrested innocent, peaceful protesters on January 6th.
  3. FILM EVERYTHING and be ready to quickly hide your micro SD card so that the corrupt FBI can’t confiscate it after they pull off their false flag event. This means preparing in advance to hide micro SD cards in your bra, shoes, underwear, hair or even other body orifices, should you dare. Since America is now becoming North Korea, honest Americans must now resort to the same freedom techniques used by dissenting North Korean citizens who have to smuggle videos that show the corruption and criminality of the regime.
  4. WATCH OUT for efforts by individuals or any group to whip you into aggressive action of any kind. The FBI will obviously run agent provocateurs who try to convince people to do outrageous things, and CNN’s cameras will be waiting to capture you on film and destroy your life.
  5. IF IN DOUBT, stay the f##k out. Don’t get dragged into some situation that seems fishy or out of control. Don’t enter buildings or private property. Even be careful what you say verbally because there are audio recording devices all around you. By merely stating out loud something like, “We should barge in there!” you can be charged with terrorism under the new Biden regime and its corrupt DOJ.

Also remember that We the People aren’t going to win this war through kinetic conflict. We’re going to win by exposing the criminality of the regime, and that means shooting with cameras, not rifles. Use the video platforms available today to post your videos and expose the regime. Video footage is your greatest “weapon” against an illegitimate, criminal government that is now weaponizing the covid hysteria against the American people.

Vaccines & the Tool of Tyranny

Spread the love

According to American Frontline Doctors, 62% of those vaccinated develop blood clots, and they claim that life expectancy maybe 3 years. Moderna’s groundbreaking coronavirus vaccine was designed in just 2 days. They also acknowledge that was POSSIBLE only because they were working with Bill Gates previously.

Look, I am not a doctor. I will leave that to others. What I can see strategically is this is being politically manipulated. I have known people with COVID and could not taste. They got over it in a week. A friend was vaccinated and just came home after 2 weeks in the hospital with some strange development where first their thought it was a stake, then a heart attack, and then kidney failure. It was like something strange infected him and it was running around his body. NOBODY could say what it was, which makes me think it was the vaccine rather than some mysterious disease never seen before that somehow he caught from a visiting alien.

There is something seriously wrong with this entire picture. Once politicians got involved and Gates was allowed to fund the CDC, FDA, and NIH, there is ABSOLUTELY no possible way of knowing the truth. We are the great unwashed and that is how those in the office view us from about. We are tolerated at best, and they are now breaking the chains that once made them responsible to the people.

I have learned over the years to look at patterns in how people behave. Bill Gates was forced out of Microsoft because, as I believe, he was deliberately creating a monopoly and sought to put the competition out of business. He is displaying the very same thing now with the healthcare industry. He controlled the programs that said 33% of the world was about to die, funded Imperial College which recommended lockdowns, and then he controls the vaccine companies while his coconspirator using his influence to control politicians.

Gates and his father’s obsession with overpopulation demonstrate that do not understand the cycle of nature and believe they possess the power, intelligence, and money/influence to change the world to BUILD BACK BETTER as he thinks it should be.

(LifeSiteNews) – Medical ethicists Arthur Caplan and Sarah Hull said that unvaccinated people do not “have an inalienable ‘right’ to dine at restaurants, attend shows in a theater, and travel for leisure.”

Caplan is a medical ethicist at New York University and Hull is a medical ethicist at Yale University. Caplan previously said that people should not equate anti-life policies such as euthanasia to the policies of the Nazis, but later compared then-candidate Donald Trump to Hitler in an essay.

Speaking of vaccine mandates, Caplan and Hull criticized the “continued resistance to commonsense public health measures” which show “too many people in both Europe and the U.S. have a simplistic and erroneous view of liberty.” The essay appeared recently in MedPageToday, a medical news and commentary publication.

Referring to engaging in commerce, such as eating at a restaurant or going to a theater, the pair said it does not “make sense to conflate the concept of individual rights, which inform our liberties, with that of privileges, which are predicated on each of us upholding certain responsibilities.”

They said that barring American citizens from walking into their local Burger King without a vaccine passport is no different than having regulations on who can drive a car. — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: Say ‘No’ to COVID ‘Vaccine Passports’! 206937 have signed the petition.Let’s get to 225000! “The concept of requiring COVID-19 vaccination to access privileges involving social gathering similarly protects public health and prevents reckless individuals from harming others, particularly those who cannot receive vaccines due to age or underlying illness or those who are unable to respond to them due to immunodeficiency,” the pair argued.

They want to see a system similar to one implemented in France. It requires proof of vaccination to enter places such as nursing homes, restaurants and public transportation. The alternative is to frequently take and present proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

Hundreds of thousands of French citizens are protesting against this new “health pass” rule.

There is a growing chorus of voices in the U.S. calling for vaccine mandates and demanding the federal and state government make life difficult for unvaccinated individuals.

For example, former Planned Parenthood president and current CNN medical commentator Leana Wen said in July, “It needs to be hard for people to remain unvaccinated.”

“Right now, it’s kind of the opposite,” she said.

The White House recently mandated all federal workers take the experimental COVID-19 shot(s) or undergo testing for the virus twice a week. This violates the Americans with Disabilities Act, former director of Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Roger Severino has noted.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, head of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Dr. Francis Collins, head of the National Institutes for Health (NIH), have signaled support for vaccine passports. Walensky said last week that forcing Americans to show proof of having received a COVID-19 shot to engage in ordinary life “may very well be the path forward.”

In May, testifying before the U.S. Senate, Chief White House medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci estimated only half of NIH employees had taken a coronavirus vaccine. Walesnsky said she doesn’t know how many CDC employees are vaccinated.

Meanwhile, “New York City is mandating proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter certain indoor businesses — including all indoor restaurants, entertainment venues and gyms, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Tuesday,” the New York Post reported August 3.

We can live in this world as if we are not immersed in it, we can pass through it as if we are not wedded to it, we can order our ever-shorter days to the everlasting Day of the Lord — and in this way, what we are, what we do, what we suffer, will not rot from selfishness, but will sprout and spread in the fecundity of love. (LifeSiteNews) – In the old Roman calendar, August 4 is the feast of St. Dominic; in the new Roman calendar, it is August 8. Whichever calendar we are following, we should turn our minds at the start of August to one of our greatest saints, preachers, and religious founders, not only to ask for his intercession, but also to ask what he can show us today in our own situation.https://static.lifeserver.net/709b1e30a292a046243572436ad0600c/index.html?clickTag=https%3A%2F%2Fservedby.lifeserver.net%2Fcl.php%3Fbannerid%3D80860%26zoneid%3D8553%26sig%3D4bcafb9f345527403cd75f0470c90aee82fc0467853ff4baf47865aeddd6acf3%26oadest%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fbit.ly%252F3hm5Nxs

At the very founding of his Order, St. Dominic saw that it was better for his few brethren to be scattered, to keep walking, to stay in motion, provided that their interior life was not scattered, was firmly rooted, at rest in God. When he proposed splitting up the small band and sending them to the four corners of Europe, they argued that he was dividing a delicate organism. His response is classic: Grain that is kept in a bin rots, but when it is scattered over the ground, it sprouts and spreads. He knew that their spiritual success depended on keeping an empty purse, a full heart, and restless feet, ready to bring the Gospel everywhere.

A “new evangelization” was put in motion in the thirteenth century by the itinerant mendicants (i.e., the wandering beggars), namely, the Dominicans and Franciscans, and it was a huge success, the effects of which are still with us today. But we seldom pause to ask why they were so successful, and why their success has waxed and waned over the centuries. It has everything to do with the radicalness of that original vision shared by Dominic and Francis — to follow in poverty the poor Christ — and the degree of fidelity to that radicalness.

When the communities were afraid of nothing and clinging to nothing, trusting in Divine Providence, focused on Christ crucified, they flourished. As soon as their priories became rich and comfortable, they lost their evangelical influence over the society and became another mouthpiece of worldly satisfaction. It is rather like the Baroque sacred music that began as a form of rhetorical praise and then veered off into emulating opera; emotionally it conjured up more the heroic castrato and his mock love-affair with the contralto than it did the Holy Sacrifice that unites earth to heaven.

Reform in the Church has always meant a certain simplification, remembrance of purity past, repentance for self-indulgence, a firm commitment to “follow naked the naked Christ,” as St. Thomas Aquinas described his goal, citing this phrase from Jerome three times (Contra retrahentes 15; Contra impugnantes 6; ST II-II, q. 186, a. 3, ad 3). The great religious founders help us to understand what simplification is — and what it isn’t. None of these founders tried to do religion “on the cheap.” When it came to churches, they built well, beautifully, sturdily, even grandly. Nothing inferior could be given to God, especially in the sacred liturgy. When it came to themselves, however, they stripped their lives of possessions, dependencies, distractions, fixed locations, striving to be as simple as possible in adhering to the supreme Good. Their goal was to abide in the one who ever abides.

In his book Staying Tender: Contemplation, Pathway to Compassion (Angelico Press, 2020), Fr. Luke Bell, OSB, has written some beautiful lines on the two kinds of abiding, which on the surface seem contrary, but which point to a more profound unity. St. Benedict perfectly illustrates and inculcates the first kind, St. Dominic and St. Francis the second kind. First, the ideal of the patriarch of Western monasticism:

The contemplative tradition is about abiding in this Absolute and finding life therein, a life that is in an open-hearted communion with others in the depth of their being. It is about abiding and it abides. Its practice is characterized by abiding. One of the vows a Benedictine monk takes is that of stability: that he will abide in the monastic life, and normally in one place, for his whole life. It is perseverance in this, not learning or practical skills, that determines if someone can become a Benedictine…. Once he has become a monk he should normally abide in the enclosure of the monastery and things there should be arranged so that as far as is possible all that is needed will be within that enclosure…. All of this is a practical expression of a spiritual truth: that God abides and by abiding in Him we find life and love. As the monastery is the place of worship of God and of prayer — both because of how it is ordered and because of who is there — it represents the New Jerusalem where God is all in all. Abiding there in the right spirit (which is basically not a complaining spirit) is a means of abiding in God.

Then, Fr. Bell turns to the more paradoxical case of the mendicant friars, sons of Dominic and Francis, whose way of life would seem to contradict the above sublime account of religious life:

The spiritual truth that has its expression in perseverance in the monastery can also be expressed by not abiding anywhere in this world. Mendicant friars are always moving to a new place, always on a pilgrimage, because nothing in this world abides as God abides. While a monk will allow abiding in one place to point beyond itself to abiding in God, a friar will let abiding in God alone teach that “here have we no continuing city, but seek one to come.” Spiritually they are identical in their rootedness in God, the one signifying this by being in one place, the other by not being in one place. The created world both shows and conceals the divine and so can speak of it both positively and negatively. It images abiding in God in a settled place of residence; it shows, through those whose lifestyle is itinerant just as their Lord’s was, that it cannot offer the absolute abode which is God alone. (pp. 13–14)

The lay faithful can learn a lot from both modes of abiding, which are lived to the fullest by those who have consecrated everything to Christ. On the one hand, there is an interior attitude of perseverance that corresponds to Benedictine stability. We stay rooted to our calling, our spouse and children, our family responsibilities, our work, our good works, come what may, and in spite of obstacles, which will never be absent.

On the other hand there is a placing of oneself at the disposal of God’s will that corresponds the detachment and mobility of the mendicants. The laity, to be sure, are not supposed to be always “in flux,” always “on the move,” as this would be unhealthy for most families (to say the least). But we can live in this world as if we are not immersed in it, we can pass through it as if we are not wedded to it, we can order our ever-shorter days to the everlasting Day of the Lord — and in this way, what we are, what we do, what we suffer, will not rot from selfishness, but will sprout and spread in the fecundity of love.

(LifeSiteNews) – With an election possibly coming up in Canada, many Americans and non-Canadians are confused as to how exactly the political system in the country works. This episode of The John-Henry Westen Show provides answers to this question and more.

To help explain the specifics of Canadian politics, I spoke with the leader of the Christian Heritage Party, Rod Taylor. He’s been leading the pro-life, pro-family, and pro-God party, which has been around for about 35 years, since 2014.

Our conversation began with Taylor pointing out the basics of the Canadian government, which is a constitutional monarchy with a representative parliament consisting of the Senate and the House of Commons. He said that the people only elect MPs of the House of Commons, and that these elections, which also may decide the prime minister of the country, are held irregularly, unlike elections in the United States.

Taylor mentioned how “when an election is called, citizens get to vote for the member of their district, the member who will represent them in the House of Commons.” Furthermore, “they do not get to vote for the prime minister [and] they do not get to vote for their Senators. They only get to vote for the individual who will represent them in their district.”

Taylor also had an interesting take on how the major political parties are guided not by principles but by political power, even the so-called pro-life Conservative Party. He pointed out that a member of parliament and of any party will not be allowed to vote according to his or her conviction but only with “the wishes of their leader and the controlling core of the party.” If he or she doesn’t, he or she will be chastised or kicked out of the party.

Taylor then stated that both the government and culture need “to get back to God…to the basics of human dignity and respect for life…[and] freedom,” and not be guided by political power.

The California State University Employees Union (CSUEU), which represents 16,000 staff workers such as custodians and information technology technicians, has come out against the public college system’s mandatory vaccination policy for COVID-19.

“CSUEU objects to the unilateral change and is filing an unfair practice charge with the Public Employee Relations Board (PERB)” the union announced.  “We will demand the status quo be restored.”

The California State University (CSU) system rejected the union’s request for an exemption “for those who have not been vaccinated because of its Emergency Use designation by the FDA.” The system has a medical and religious exemption.

The CSUEU said the new policy is confusing and illogical. “CSU is announcing a garbled and improperly enforced health policy. Some campuses are requiring explanation of exemptions that are questionable, particularly in terms of religious beliefs,” the union said.

University officials have promised no punishment for people who refuse to take the vaccine — until a new round of contract negotiations can occur. “It is confusing to employees and managers alike and is misleading about the final policy requirements,” the union said in response.

With the mandate, CSU is backtracking on an earlier promise to only mandate the vaccination once it receives full approval from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Its July 27 news release cites “evolving circumstances” as justification for the reversal.

The policy covers all 56,000 faculty and staff members and the 486,000 students on CSU’s 23 campuses.

Other unions have come out against vaccine mandates, including the largest healthcare union in the country, the American Postal Workers Union (APWU).

subscribe to our daily headlines US Canada Catholic

“While the APWU leadership continues to encourage postal workers to voluntarily get vaccinated, it is not the role of the federal government to mandate vaccinations for the employees we represent,” the APWU said, shortly before the Biden administration announced the requirement for federal workers.

Dawn Johnsen, the acting assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel, wrote a legal opinion that says vaccines can be mandated by employers without full FDA approval, though OLC opinions are not binding. Roger Severino, former director of the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Trump administration, called the memo aa “shoddy” justification for government “bullying.”

Johnsen is a former attorney for the left-wing American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the pro-abortion group NARAL Pro-Choice America.

(LifeSiteNews) – Australian and German authorities launched harsh crackdowns on anti-lockdown demonstrations this weekend, amid rising global protests against coronavirus restrictions.

Police in Sydney arrested eight people and issued more than 250 fines on Saturday in an effort to deter further rallies after thousands poured into the city two weeks ago to protest stay-at-home orders, 9 News reported

Around 1,000 police officers and 300 military troops were deployed to detain anyone caught violating the radical lockdown measures in place in Greater Sydney, which include bans on “non-essential” activities and travel beyond 10 km of one’s home.

Police set up checkpoints throughout Sydney, checking over 70,000 vehicles for violations of government-mandated travel limits and to see if drivers were traveling with more than two passengers.

“The vast majority of infringement notices were issued to individuals for breaching the stay-at-home orders by travelling outside their local government areas,” deputy police commissioner Mal Lanyon said. “Officers from across the Traffic and Highway Patrol and Police Transport Commands formed a defined barrier around the city, to monitor and prevent persons intent on travelling to the city to protest.” — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: No to mandatory vaccination for the coronavirus 1052906 have signed the petition.Let’s get to 1100000! Police also shut down train stations, according to Reuters, and threatened rideshare and taxi companies with fines of up to $500,000 for driving people into Sydney’s central business district between 9 am and 3 pm. Individuals faced up to $100,000 for violating the rideshare ban.

As of Sunday, the death toll from the current COVID-19 outbreak in New South Wales is a mere 14, and Australia has registered barely 920 virus deaths since the beginning of last year.

The New South Wales government nevertheless announced Wednesday that Sydney will continue under a military-enforced lockdown for at least four more weeks. Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Friday that city-wide stay-at-home orders would continue in Australia until at least 80 percent of the country receives two doses of an experimental COVID-19 vaccine.

Protest organizers discouraged followers from convening in Sydney over the weekend, warning of a “media trap,” while discussing plans for another rally later this month.

Small protests still materialized on Monday in Brisbane, however, including at the Queensland parliament, following an announcement from deputy premier Steven Miles of an extra week-long lockdown extension, the Brisbane Times reported. Queensland, like Greater Sydney, has endured extreme lockdown rules in recent weeks, like demands to duct tape balcony doors shut

Officers arrested 15 demonstrators and at least six other people in Brisbane on Monday and fined dozens more for alleged violations of restrictions. “The sound of a police helicopter hovering over inner-Brisbane was constant during the morning as the lockdown was enforced,” the Brisbane Times said.

Germany

Australia’s descent into de facto martial law over a handful of apparent COVID-19 deaths resembled a similarly brutal response to anti-lockdown protests in Berlin, where several thousand gathered this weekend in defiance of a court order.

Last week, a Berlin administrative court prohibited protests against virus restrictions, blocking authorization for 13 events amid alleged concerns about the delta variant, DW reported

Berlin had approved an LGBT “pride” parade with over 35,000 people just two weeks ago.

At least 5,000 still turned out across the city on Sunday in spite of the ban, and were met with more than 2,000 officers who detained almost 600 people, according to Newsweek.

France

Meanwhile, massive demonstrations against COVID-19 restrictions ripped through France for the third straight week, drawing what appeared to be millions of people. Protests were held in virtually all major French cities, including Paris, Nice, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Nantes, and Strasbourg, as well as in smaller cities, like Vannes and Pau.

Some protests were joined by healthcare workers and firefighters facing mandatory vaccine requirements, and many featured widespread shouts of “liberty” and calls for President Emmanuel Macron’s resignation. https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-3&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1421612430375931905&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lifesitenews.com%2Fnews%2Faustralia-germany-crack-down-on-anti-lockdown-events-as-protests-rise-in-france-us%2F&sessionId=39e035a288132f64ca1f952de37cc0852013eb4c&siteScreenName=LifeSite&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-4&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1421597269523116034&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lifesitenews.com%2Fnews%2Faustralia-germany-crack-down-on-anti-lockdown-events-as-protests-rise-in-france-us%2F&sessionId=39e035a288132f64ca1f952de37cc0852013eb4c&siteScreenName=LifeSite&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

Protesters marched against a so-called “Green Pass” program, which requires proof of coronavirus vaccination, recent COVID-19 recovery, or negative test results for entry to public venues, including museums and stadiums. France’s parliament approved legislation last Monday to mandate the pass for hospital visits, bus and train travel, and indoor dining.

The French interior ministry has claimed that the full number of protesters this weekend was roughly 204,090, up from 160,000 last week and 114,000 two weeks ago, contradicting protest organizers, who estimate the true total to be 2.5 million people, if not higher. https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-5&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1421493681991913475&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lifesitenews.com%2Fnews%2Faustralia-germany-crack-down-on-anti-lockdown-events-as-protests-rise-in-france-us%2F&sessionId=39e035a288132f64ca1f952de37cc0852013eb4c&siteScreenName=LifeSite&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-6&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1421588932798652417&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lifesitenews.com%2Fnews%2Faustralia-germany-crack-down-on-anti-lockdown-events-as-protests-rise-in-france-us%2F&sessionId=39e035a288132f64ca1f952de37cc0852013eb4c&siteScreenName=LifeSite&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

As in Australia and Germany, French authorities marshaled a heavy police presence, deploying more than 3,000 officers to Paris alone for the overwhelmingly peaceful rallies.

Demonstrations also continued across Italy, with thousands marching in Milan, Rome, Bologna, Padua, Genoa, Naples, and Florence over the weekend, the Telegraph reported. Additional protests were reported in Canada and Israel. Both Italy and Israel have embraced “health pass” schemes similar to France’s Green Pass.

Protests have begun to pick up in the United States as well. On Sunday, hundreds gathered in Charlotte, North Carolina, in response to a vaccine mandate for employees of the Atrium Health hospital system.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about choice,” said nurse Cheryl Morneau, according to WBTV News. “It’s a right. People died for our rights. It’s not right to take that freedom away from us, we are people too. We sacrificed on the frontlines for over a year. Why don’t we have the same rights as everyone else and as our patients do?”

Demonstrators held signs with slogans like “My wife is not your lab rat” and “My body, my choice.” Protests against COVID-19 vaccine and masks mandates also have been held in Rogers and Fort Smith, Arkansas, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Winchester, Virginia, and Gwinnett, Georgia, among other places, in recent days.

PROVINCETOWN, Massachusetts (LifeSiteNews) – The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) spawned panic this week when it revealed that during the first half of July there had been a large spike in COVID-19 cases emanating from a quaint seaside tourist destination, where 74% of the infected were fully vaccinated persons.

Why did an outbreak occur in this little village at the tip of Cape Cod and not in any of the thousands of other resorts lining the coasts of the U.S. or in any other party venue, urban or rural?

What the CDC fails to mention in its reporting, and what the mainstream media want you to overlook, is how different Provincetown is from most every other beach community.

Provincetown is America’s summer LGBT vacation mecca, and during the two-week period spanning from July 3 to July 17 when cases spiked, tens of thousands of gay men had jammed the resort.

The CDC, national news media, and the White House are all ignoring the obvious in order to trigger a new mask mandate and other stringent lockdown measures: This isn’t about insufficient masking or lockdowns. It’s about what happens when thousands of men converge to engage in casual sodomy.

The CDC

Those who came down with COVID-19 reported “attending densely packed indoor and outdoor events at venues that included bars, restaurants, guest houses, and rental homes,” noted the CDC report, which stops far short of questioning the role that casual, often anonymous sex between males or groups of males might have played in transmitting the dreaded virus.

NOTE: Which is more likely to facilitate the transmission of COVID-19: Maskless people crowded together for the Fourth of July – or thousands of homosexual encounters with strangers and acquaintances?

At the conclusion to its alarming report, the CDC hints at, but never gets around to telling the truth: “Demographics of cases likely reflect those of attendees at the public gatherings, as events were marketed to adult male participants; further study is underway to identify other population characteristics among cases, such as additional demographic characteristics and underlying health conditions including immunocompromising conditions.”

NOTE: The CDC assiduously avoided using the terms homosexual, gay, or men who have sex with men, and instead employed ambiguous terminology, ignoring the obvious. Why?

The White House

“The most important takeaway … is actually pretty simple. We need more people to get vaccinated,” declared White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre following the CDC’s report.

NOTE: Here’s a simpler takeaway for the Biden Administration: Large public gatherings where sexual abandon is practiced should be discouraged.

The Washington Post

“What this tells us is we need much more context and better data to guide whether and when vaccinated people should wear masks, because following CDC’s new guidance wouldn’t have stopped this outbreak from occurring,” Jennifer Nuzzo, an epidemiologist with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, told The Washington Post.

NOTE: Ms. Nuzzo is half correct: “CDC’s new guidance wouldn’t have stopped this outbreak from occurring” because it does not advise adult males to avoid sexual encounters where an exchange of bodily fluids and exposure to fecal matter is involved.

That is the “context” you claim to be missing, Ms. Nuzzo.

“There’s no one person or spot to blame here,” said Daniel Park, group leader for viral computational genomics at the Broad Institute, according to the Post.

NOTE: Of the tens or hundreds of thousands of Fourth of July celebrations around the country, and thousands of resort areas along U.S. shorelines and in our mountains, there was only one ground zero for a July COVID-19 outbreak: Provincetown.

CNN

“Doing away with mask requirements was a ‘mistake’ in the first place,” said Debbie Nadolney, director and curator at the AMP Gallery in Provincetown, “and she hopes other parts of the country learn from the town’s experience and require masks in addition to pushing for more vaccinations.”

NOTE: Maybe putting aside sexual inhibitions, not masks, was the real culprit.

Ms. Nadolney was exactly right when she observed, “Provincetown is such a little place but obviously we’ve been a petri dish for the country.” Hopefully not in the same way that Wuhan, China, was a petri dish for the world.

“If you’re planning to travel and you’re not vaccinated, please, please don’t come to Provincetown,” said Ken Horgan, a Provincetown hotel owner.  “We really take our health seriously and for our local businesses to survive, we need to stay operational. And to stay operational, we need to stay healthy.”

NOTE: Running an establishment where sodomy is a regular occurrence doesn’t exactly reflect seriousness about health.

The New York Times

The Times described Provincetown as “a quirky beach community at the tip of Cape Cod,” a community of “health-conscious, left-leaning Northeasterners, known as a vacation mecca for gay men,” with “one of the highest vaccination rates in the country, upward of 95 percent among permanent residents.”

NOTE: “Gay” is a euphemism, shielding a darker truth that has been successfully obscured: The “left-leaning Northeasterners” who gravitate to Provincetown are men who engage in sodomy.

“On the weekend of July 4 … Around 60,000 people had jammed into a narrow spit of land, where many congregated, maskless, on sweaty dance floors and at house parties,” continued the Times report.

NOTE: The Times omits activities other than “dancing” and “congregating” which might have led to the transmission of COVID-19: Common practices such as oral and anal sex, and much more that cannot be described on the pages of LifeSite.

The role of daily sex drug PrEP in vaccine efficacy and other questions

The CDC is afraid to identify the “demographic characteristics” of the “adult male participants” who packed Provincetown in early July. Rather than immediately recommending curtailing non-monogamous sexual activity to this small segment of the population, the CDC has quickly diverted the nation’s attention to masking, posturing the organization for the re-weaponization of face mask mandates against the entire American population. — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: Say ‘No’ to COVID ‘Vaccine Passports’! 206906 have signed the petition.Let’s get to 225000! Mainstream media outlets express no curiosity about the CDC’s omission, nor do they address the peculiarity of what goes on in Provincetown.

The Provincetown outbreak raises some obvious questions:

  • The CDC report overlooks the role that sexual contact may have played. Is it true that non-conjugal sexual contact will not transmit COVID-19? Is standing a few feet away from someone in a public place while not wearing a mask far more dangerous than engaging in sodomy?
  • Do drugs such as PrEP, which many active homosexuals take daily in order to ward off HIV/AIDS while continuing to have sex with multiple partners, inhibit the efficacy of the experimental COVID “vaccination”?
  • July 10 through 17 was the largest “Bear” event in the world, with “Ptown overrun by hair, leather, and large men.” Does obesity or some other commonality diminish the efficacy of the COVID “vaccination”?

(The Remnant) –In his first print interview since the release of Pope Francis’ new decree restricting the Traditional Latin Mass, Traditionis Custodes, Bishop Athanasius Schneider has said the document “demeans” a thousand-year-old liturgy of the Roman Rite, commits an “injustice” against Catholics who adhere to it, and creates a “two-class society” in the Church.

“The privileged first-class are those who adhere to the reformed liturgy,” Bishop Schneider asserts, “and the second-class Catholics, who will now barely be tolerated, include a large number of Catholic families, children, young people and priests” who, through the traditional liturgy, have “experienced, with great spiritual benefit, the reality and mystery of the Church.”https://static.lifeserver.net/709b1e30a292a046243572436ad0600c/index.html?clickTag=https%3A%2F%2Fservedby.lifeserver.net%2Fcl.php%3Fbannerid%3D80884%26zoneid%3D8553%26sig%3D7a963ec7211d5cb7d678ac605ed0f50ff09fadf55108019445ee8f19cc286ebc%26oadest%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fbit.ly%252F3hm5Nxs

The bishop also contends that the “astonishingly narrow-minded attitude” and “disparaging tone” displayed in the motu proprio and accompanying letter stand in “glaring contrast” not only to the guiding principles of the current pontificate, but also fly in the face of the “conciliar” claim of “openness to diversity” and rejection of liturgical “uniformity.”

In this exclusive interview, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary of Astana, Kazakhstan, discusses his chief concerns about the document, offers counsel to seminarians and young priests who fear they may be prohibited from celebrating the traditional Mass, and addresses Pope Francis’ claim that his chosen course of action is analogous to that taken by Pope St. Pius V.

He also defends Catholics who attend the traditional Mass against what he sees as the document’s unjust accusations that they sow division and deny Vatican II. A “considerable portion” of young Catholic families and others who attend the traditional Mass “keep away” from discussions on Vatican II and ecclesial politics, the bishop maintains. “They just want to worship God in the liturgical form through which God has touched and transformed their hearts and lives.”

Bishop Schneider also praises his brothers in the episcopate who have supported the faithful in response to the new measures, and says he is convinced the new decree will ultimately have a “boomerang effect.” The “continuous growth” of the traditional Mass across the globe, he says, is “undoubtedly the work of the Holy Spirit, and a true sign of our time.”

He therefore encourages Pope Francis and those charged with implementing the new measures to heed the “wise counsel” of Gamaliel to those persecuting the early Christians (Acts 5:38-39), lest they find themselves to be “opposing God.”

Here is our full interview with Bishop Athanasius Schneider.

Diane Montagna: Your Excellency, Pope Francis’ new apostolic letter, issued motu proprio on July 16, 2021, is called “Traditionis Custodes” (Guardians of Tradition). What was your initial impression of the choice of this title?

Bishop Schneider: My initial impression was of a shepherd who instead of having the smell of his sheep, is angrily beating them with a stick.

What are your general impressions of the Motu Proprio and of Pope Francis’ accompanying Letter to the bishops of the world, in which he explains his rationale for restricting the Traditional Latin Mass?

In his programmatic Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium, Pope Francis advocates “certain attitudes which foster openness to the message: approachability, readiness for dialogue, patience, a warmth and welcome which is non-judgmental” (n. 165). Yet in reading the new Motu Proprio and accompanying Letter, one has the opposite impression, namely, that the document, as a whole, exhibits a pastoral intolerance and even spiritual rigidity. The Motu Proprio and accompanying Letter communicate a judgmental and unwelcoming spirit. In the document on Human Fraternity (signed in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019), Pope Francis embraces the “diversity of religions,” whereas in his new Motu Proprio he resolutely rejects the diversity of liturgical forms in the Roman Rite.

What a glaring contrast in attitude this Motu Proprio presents, compared to the guiding principle of Pope Francis’ pontificate, i.e., inclusiveness and a preferential love for minorities and those on the peripheries in the life of the Church. And what an astonishingly narrow-minded stance one discovers in the Motu Proprio, in contrast to Pope Francis’s own words: “We know that we are tempted in various ways to adopt the logic of privilege that separates, excludes and closes us off, while separating, excluding and closing off the dreams and lives of so many of our brothers and sisters” (Homily at the Vespers, December 31, 2016). The new norms of the Motu Proprio demean the millennial form of the lex orandi of the Roman Church and, at the same time, close off “the dreams and lives of so many” Catholic families, and especially of young people and young priests, whose spiritual lives and love for Christ and the Church have grown and greatly benefited from the traditional form of the Holy Mass.

The Motu Proprio establishes a principle of a rare liturgical exclusivity, by stating that the new promulgated liturgical books are the only [unica] expression of the lex orandi of the Roman Rite (Art. 1). What a contrast this position, too, is with these words of Pope Francis: “It is true that the Holy Spirit brings forth different charisms in the Church, which at first glance, may seem to create disorder. Under his guidance, however, they constitute an immense richness, because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of unity, which is not the same thing as uniformity” (Homily of Pope Francis at the Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Istanbul, Saturday, November 29, 2014).

What are your greatest concerns about the new document?

As a bishop, one of my chief concerns is that, instead of fostering a greater unity by the coexistence of diverse authentic liturgical forms, the Motu Proprio creates a two-class society in the Church, i.e. first-class Catholics and second-class Catholics. The privileged first-class are those who adhere to the reformed liturgy, i.e. the Novus Ordo, and the second-class Catholics, who will now barely be tolerated, include a large number of Catholic families, children, young people and priests who, in the last decades, have grown up in the traditional liturgy and experienced, with great spiritual benefit, the reality and mystery of the Church thanks to this liturgical form, which earlier generations held as sacred and which formed so many saints and outstanding Catholics throughout history.

The Motu Proprio and accompanying letter commit an injustice against all Catholics who adhere to the traditional liturgical form, by accusing them of being divisive and of rejecting the Second Vatican Council. In fact, a considerable portion of these Catholics keep far away from doctrinal discussions regarding Vatican II, the new Order of Mass (Novus Ordo Missae), and other problems involving ecclesiastical politics. They just want to worship God in the liturgical form through which God has touched and transformed their hearts and lives. The argument invoked in the Motu Proprio and accompanying letter, i.e., that the traditional liturgical form creates division and threatens the unity of the Church, is disproven by the facts. Furthermore, the disparaging tone taken in these documents against the traditional liturgical form would lead any impartial observer to conclude that such arguments are merely a pretext and a ruse, and that something else is at play here. — Article continues below Petition — SIGN: Show Pope Francis the Latin Mass will survive any suppression 26595 have signed the petition.Let’s get to 30000! How convincing do you find Pope Francis’ comparison (in his accompanying letter to bishops) between his new measures and those adopted by St Pius V in 1570?

The time of Second Vatican Council and the so-called “conciliar” Church has been characterized by an openness to a diversity and inclusivity of spiritualities and local liturgical expressions, along with a rejection of the principle of a uniformity in the liturgical praxis of the Church. Throughout history, the true pastoral attitude has been one of tolerance and respect towards a diversity of liturgical forms, provided they express the integrity of the Catholic Faith, the dignity and sacredness of the ritual forms, and that they bear true spiritual fruit in the lives of the faithful. In the past, the Roman Church acknowledged the diversity of expressions in its lex orandi. In the apostolic constitution promulgating the Tridentine Liturgy, Quo Primum (1570), Pope Pius V, in approving all those liturgical expressions of the Roman Church that were more than two hundred years old, recognized them as an equally worthy and legitimate expression of the lex orandi of the Roman Church. In this bull, Pope Pius V stated that he in no wise rescinds other legitimate liturgical expressions within the Roman Church. The liturgical form of the Roman Church that was valid until the reform of Paul VI did not arise with Pius V, but was substantially unchanged even centuries before the Council of Trent. The first printed edition of the Missale Romanum dates back to 1470, thus one hundred years before the missal published by Pius V. The order of Mass of both missals is almost identical; the difference lies more in secondary elements, such as the calendar, number of prefaces, and more precise rubrical norms.

‘The Church has never rejected that which, over the span of many centuries, has expressed sacredness, doctrinal precision and spiritual richness, and been exalted by many popes, great theologians (e.g. St Thomas Aquinas) and numerous saints. The peoples of Western and, in part, of Eastern Europe, of Northern and Southern Europe, of the Americas, Africa, and Asia were evangelized and doctrinally and spiritually formed by the traditional Roman Rite, and these peoples found in that rite their spiritual and liturgical home. Pope John Paul II gave an example of a sincere appreciation of the traditional form of the Mass, when he said: “In the Roman Missal, called ‘of St. Pius V,’ as in various Eastern Liturgies, there are beautiful prayers with which the priest expresses the deepest sense of humility and reverence before the holy mysteries: they reveal the very substance of any liturgy” (Message to Participants in the Plenary Assembly of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, September 21, 2001).

It would go against the true spirit of the Church of all ages to now express contempt for this liturgical form, to label it as “divisive” and as something dangerous for the unity of the Church, and to issue norms aimed at making this form disappear in time. The norms enshrined in Pope Francis’ Motu Proprio seek to unmercifully rip out of the souls and lives of so many Catholics the traditional liturgy, which in itself is holy and represents the spiritual homeland of these Catholics. With this Motu Proprio, Catholics who today have been spiritually nourished and formed by the traditional liturgy of Holy Mother Church, will no longer experience the Church as a mother but rather as a “stepmother,” consistent with Pope Francis’ own description: “A mother who criticizes, who speaks ill of her children is not a mother! I believe you say “stepmother” in Italian…. She isn’t a mother” (Address to Consecrated Men and Women of the diocese of Rome, May 16, 2015)

Pope Francis’ apostolic letter was issued on the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, patroness of Carmelites (such as St. Thérèse of Lisieux), who pray especially for priests. In light of the new measures, what would you say to diocesan seminarians and young priests who had hoped to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass?

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger spoke about the limitation of the powers of the pope regarding the liturgy, with this illuminating explanation: “The pope is not an absolute monarch whose will is law; rather, he is the guardian of the authentic Tradition and, thereby, the premier guarantor of obedience. He cannot do as he likes, and he is thereby able to oppose those people who, for their part, want to do whatever comes into their head. His rule is not that of arbitrary power, but that of obedience in faith. That is why, with respect to the Liturgy, he has the task of a gardener, not that of a technician who builds new machines and throws the old ones on the junk-pile. The “rite”, that form of celebration and prayer which has ripened in the faith and the life of the Church, is a condensed form of living Tradition in which the sphere using that rite expresses the whole of its faith and its prayer, and thus at the same time the fellowship of generations one with another becomes something we can experience, fellowship with the people who pray before us and after us. Thus the rite is something of benefit that is given to the Church, a living form of paradosis, the handing-on of Tradition.” (Preface to “The Organic Development of the Liturgy.  The Principles of Liturgical Reform and Their Relation to the Twentieth-century Liturgical Movement Prior to the Second Vatican Council” by Dom Alcuin Reid, San Francisco 2004).

The traditional Mass is a treasure that belongs to the entire Church, since it has been celebrated and deeply regarded and loved by priests and saints for at least a thousand years. In fact, the traditional form of the Mass was almost identical for centuries before the publication of the Missal of Pope Pius V in 1570. An almost one thousand-year-old valid and highly esteemed liturgical treasure is not the private property of a pope, which he can freely dispose of. Therefore, seminarians and young priests must ask for the right to use this common treasure of the Church, and should they be denied this right, they can use it nevertheless, perhaps in a clandestine manner. This would not be an act of disobedience, but rather of obedience to Holy Mother Church, who has given us this liturgical treasure. The firm rejection of an almost one thousand-year-old liturgical form by Pope Francis represents, in fact, a short-lived phenomenon compared to the constant spirit and praxis of the Church.

Your Excellency, what has been your impression thus far of the implementation of “Traditionis Custodes”?

Within a few short days, diocesan bishops and even an entire bishops’ conference have already begun a systematic suppression of any celebration of the traditional form of the Holy Mass. These new “liturgy-inquisitors” have displayed an astonishingly rigid clericalism, similar to that described and lamented by Pope Francis, when he said: “There is that spirit of clericalism in the Church, which one feels: the clerics feel themselves superior, the clerics turn away from the people, the clerics always say: ‘this is done like this, like this, like this, and you go away!’” (Daily meditation in the Holy Mass from December 13, 2016).

Pope Francis’ anti-traditional Motu Proprio shares some similarities with the fateful and extremely rigid liturgical decisions made by the Russian-Orthodox Church under Patriarch Nikon of Moscow between 1652 and 1666. This eventually led to a lasting schism known as the “Old Ritualists” (in Russian: staroobryadtsy), who maintained the liturgical and ritual practices of the Russian Church as they were before the reforms of Patriarch Nikon. Resisting the accommodation of Russian piety to the contemporary forms of Greek Orthodox worship, these Old Ritualists were anathematized, together with their ritual, in a Synod of 1666–67, producing a division between the Old Ritualists and those who followed the state church in its condemnation of the Old Rite. Today the Russian-Orthodox Church regrets the drastic decisions of Patriarch Nikon, for if the norms he implemented had been truly pastoral and allowed the use of the old rite, there would not have been a centuries-long schism, with many unnecessary and cruel sufferings.

In our own day we are witnessing ever more celebrations of the Holy Mass, which have become a platform for promoting the sinful lifestyle of homosexuality—the so called “LGBT-Masses,” an expression which in itself is already a blasphemy. Such Masses are tolerated by the Holy See and many bishops. What is urgently needed is a Motu Proprio with strict norms suppressing the practice of such “LGBT-Masses,” since they are an outrage to the divine majesty, a scandal to the faithful (the little ones), and an injustice towards sexually active homosexual persons, who by such celebrations are confirmed in their sins, and whose eternal salvation is thereby being put in danger.

And yet a number of bishops, particularly in the United States but also elsewhere, such as in France, have supported the faithful of their diocese who are attached to the Traditional Latin Mass. What would you say to encourage these your brother bishops? And what attitude ought the faithful to have toward their bishops, many of whom were themselves surprised by the document?

These bishops have shown a true apostolic and pastoral attitude, as those who are “shepherds with the smell of the sheep.” I would encourage these and many other bishops to continue with such a noble pastoral attitude. Let neither the praises of men nor the fear of men move them, but only the greater glory of God, and the greater spiritual benefit of souls and their eternal salvation. For their part, the faithful should demonstrate toward these bishops, gratitude and filial respect and love.

What effect do you think the Motu Proprio will have?

Pope Francis’s new Motu Proprio is ultimately a pyrrhic victory and will have a boomerang effect. The many Catholic families and ever-growing number of young people and priests—particularly young priests—who attend the traditional Mass, will not be able to allow their conscience to be violated by such a drastic administrative act. Telling these faithful and priests that they must simply be obedient to these norms will ultimately not work with them, because they understand that a call to obedience loses its power when the aim is to suppress the traditional form of the liturgy, the great liturgical treasure of the Roman Church.

In time, a worldwide chain of catacomb-Masses will surely arise, as happens in times of emergency and persecution. We may in fact witness an era of clandestine traditional Masses, similar to that so impressively depicted by Aloysius O’Kelly in his painting, “Mass in Connemara (Ireland) during Penal Times.” Or perhaps we shall live through a time similar to that described by St Basil the Great, when traditional Catholics were persecuted by a liberal Arian episcopate in the fourth century. St. Basil wrote: “The mouths of true believers are dumb, while every blasphemous tongue wags free; holy things are trodden under foot; the better laity shun the churches as schools of impiety; and lift their hands in the deserts with sighs and tears to their Lord in heaven. Even you must have heard what is going on in most of our cities, how our people with wives and children and even our old men stream out before the walls, and offer their prayers in the open air, putting up with all the inconvenience of the weather with great patience, and waiting for help from the Lord” (Letter 92).

The admirable, harmonious and quite spontaneous spread and continuous growth of the traditional form of the Mass, in almost every country of the world, even in the most remote lands, is undoubtedly the work of the Holy Spirit, and a true sign of our time. This form of the liturgical celebration bears true spiritual fruits, especially in the life of the youth and converts to the Catholic Church, since many of the latter were attracted to the Catholic faith precisely by the irradiating power of this treasure of the Church. Pope Francis and the other bishops who will execute his Motu Proprio should earnestly consider the wise counsel of Gamaliel, and ask themselves if they actually are fighting against a work of God: “In the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this undertaking is of men, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” (Acts 5:38-39). May Pope Francis reconsider, with a view to eternity, his drastic and tragic act, and courageously and humbly retract this new Motu Proprio, recalling his own words: “In truth, the Church shows her fidelity to the Holy Spirit in as much as she does not try to control or tame him.” (Homily at the Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Istanbul, Saturday, November 29, 2014)

For the time being, many Catholic families, young people and priests on every continent are now weeping, for the Pope—their spiritual father—has deprived them of the spiritual nourishment of the traditional Mass, which has so greatly strengthened their faith and their love for God, for Holy Mother Church and for the Apostolic See. They may, for a time, “[go] out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, but they shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with them” (Psalm 126:6).

These families, young people and priests could address to Pope Francis these or similar words: “Most Holy Father, give us back that great liturgical treasure of the Church. Do not treat us as your second-class children. Do not violate our consciences by forcing us into a single and exclusive liturgical form, you who always proclaimed to the entire world the necessity of diversity, pastoral accompaniment, and of respect for conscience. Do not listen to those representatives of a rigid clericalism who counseled you to carry out such an unmerciful action. Be a true family father, who “brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old” (Mt 13:52). If you will hear our voice, on the day of your judgment before God, we will be your best intercessors.”
