This Hungarian bill is a shame.

It discriminates people on the basis of their sexual orientation & goes against the EU’s fundamental values.

We will not compromise.

I will use all the legal powers of @EU_Commission to ensure that the rights of all EU citizens are guaranteed. pic.twitter.com/RzWPpue0CD

THE DOLLAR’S FINAL CRASH DOWN A GOLDEN MATTERHORN-Egon von Greyertz

THE DOLLAR’S FINAL CRASH DOWN A GOLDEN MATTERHORN

July 7, 2021

By Egon von Greyerz

Was Richard Nixon a real gold friend who understood the futility of tying a weakening dollar to gold which is the only currency that has survived in history?

So was Nixon actually the instigator of the movement to FreeGold?

I doubt it. He was just another desperate leader who was running out of real money and needed to create unlimited amounts of fiat money. Although his fatal decision to close the gold window was clearly the beginning of the end of the current monetary system.

But although the decision was fatal, Nixon was clearly not personally responsible. What the world saw in August 1971 was just another desperate leader who realised that he couldn’t stick to the monetary or fiscal disciplines necessary to maintain a sound economy and a sound currency.

In history, Nixon should be seen as the rule rather than the exception. Since every currency has been slaughtered throughout history, one particular leader will also be required to be the executor.

So in 1971, history had elected Tricky Dick to be the inevitable destroyer of the dollar.

Nixon's lies

I don’t quite know what the definition is of “suspend temporarily” but 50 years seems to be pushing the limit!

And as regards the strength of dollar goes, we all know what happened to the “strength of the currency”! Please see the illustration of the dollar collapse further on in the article.

FREEGOLD

In my article from December 2018 I talked about the advantage of FreeGold.

There are a few conditions that need to be fulfilled for gold to be an effective store of value. The principle of FreeGold best defines what this means. The website FOFOA (Friend Of a Friend of Another) and its predecessors have been pioneers in defining what FreeGold is:

These are the basic principles-

ALL PHYSICAL GOLD MUST BE:

  • FREE from official money systems
  • Owned FREE of all other claims
  • FREELY traded

If all the above conditions are met, there would be no gold backed currencies, no ability to exchange currency for gold at central banks for a fixed parity and most importantly THERE WOULD BE NO PAPER GOLD OR OTHER GOLD DERIVATIVES.

Gold would neither be lent nor leveraged.

In fact, gold should not be tied to any currency. Gold has reigned supreme for 5,000 years whilst all its competitors in the form of fiat money have collapsed. Nixon probably understood this. The world’s current reserve currency could obviously not be shackled any more by gold. Because gold ignores the follies of megalomaniac sovereign leaders who want to cling on to power at any cost.

That is why governments have a Love – Hate relationship with gold.

ON THE ONE HAND – GOVERNMENTS LOVE GOLD

On the one hand gold signifies stability, wealth and the only currency that has survived in history and maintained its purchasing power. That is why governments around the world allegedly hold 34,000 tonnes of it currently valued at $2 trillion.

As Greenspan said a few years ago:

“If it (gold) is worthless and meaningless, why is everybody (central banks) still holding it?”

Global gold stocks

ON THE OTHER HAND – GOVERNMENTS HATE GOLD

On the other hand governments hate gold since it reveals their total mismanagement of the economy.

Because as soon as they run out of money, tying the currency to gold creates an extremely inconvenient road block that must be eliminated.

As gold is an inconvenient truth sayer, tying it to the currency prevents governments from holding on to power. So out with gold and sound money and in with credit expansion and fake money that temporarily buys votes.

Printing money and buying votes is not just a frivolous folly, but also an extremely costly exercise that without fail leads to the collapse of the economy and the currency.

DOLLAR AND OTHER CURRENCIES CRASHING INTO THE ABYSS

Just look at the picture below showing the crash of the dollar from the peak of the Matterhorn.

So far it is a “mere” 98% fall since 1971. But that is just the beginning. The next move of all the currencies will shock the world as they crash into the abyss.

Dollar crash vs. gold

The dollar and all currencies are likely to fall by another 98%+ from here as the world central banks desperately attempt to save the financial system.

Whether that means gold at $1,900 or $19,000 or much, much higher is all a function on the final debasement of the currencies rather than the rise of gold.

NO CURRENCY HAS SURVIVED IN HISTORY IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM

Every currency in history has disappeared or become worthless. There are at least 160 currencies that have died through hyperinflation but the real number is likely to be much higher.

The longest surviving currency today is the British Pound which has been in existence since 1694. At that time one pound bought 12 ounces of silver and today one pound buys 0.05 oz.

So although the pound has survived for over 300 years in name, it has lost over 99.99% of its purchasing power in that time.

BITCOIN – $10,000 NEXT?

For anyone who believes that crypto currencies will take over from gold, they should think again. There are around 10,000 cryptos today and over 1,000 have already died.

Bitcoin is of course the biggest. As I have said before, BTC is a wild binary bet. It can go to $1 million and it can go to Zero. Governments are unlikely to allow it to go to $1 million except for as a collector’s item without any practical use. They are more likely to force it to zero as it is banned by an increasing number of countries.

And anyone who thinks BTC will replace gold must think again. It might be a great speculative investment but it can never be a real store of wealth. And the extreme volatility makes it very unsuitable either as a reserve currency or as a wealth preservation investment.

We have seen $65,000 for BTC this year and now it is down 46% from there. Technically it looks like BTC could go to $10,000. If that will be the case, it will certainly not be suitable for widows or orphans

HISTORY – HISTORY – HISTORY

Again, history is our teacher. Most sovereign leaders never look at history. Their egos are too big to learn from the past. Instead they suffer from delusions of grandeur and always believe that things are different today just because they are in power.

But if they had one iota of humility, they would learn that there is very little new under the sun when it comes to the laws of nature and sound money.

They can call it by fancy names such as Keynesianism, QE or MMT. But embellishing a “criminal” action with a fancy name doesn’t make it legitimate. What governments are doing with money would put ordinary people in jail.

How can anyone call dollars or euros legal tender when most of it is created without the production of any goods or service.

Money fabricated by pressing a button by an index finger can never be worth more than the cost of moving the finger. Still these small finger movements are generating trillions of dollars, euros, yen, RMB and other currencies in an illusory creation of wealth.

WILL THERE BE A RESET?

I have at various times made my position clear on a reset.

I definitely don’t believe in Klaus Schwab and his cohorts taking over the world in a James Bond style movie. My view is that these self-important people will totally fail in any attempt to dominate world politics or the global economy.

The current monetary system has given the 0.1% elite illusory wealth and power. But that is a totally artificial and temporary situation. As the current currency system collapses so will their power and illusions.

Nor do I believe that governments and central banks will succeed in anything but a very temporary reset, if that. This kind of attempted reset could involve making debt disappear in a hocus pocus move and revaluing gold. Central bank digital currencies would also be introduced.

What they don’t realise is that Humpty Dumpty has already fallen and is irreparable. Any artificial and fake measures will not ever put Humpty together again.

So the only real reset that I see will be disorderly in a fall of the current monetary system.

Many of my previous articles cover the consequences in detail.

As I have outlined, it will be a very unpleasant but temporary period for the world as all the corruption and excesses of the last 100 years are unwound.

But the coming forest fire is essential to get rid of the deadwood so that new green shoots can create a sounder world economy and system.

GOLD (& SILVER) WILL BE A LIFE SAVER

As the graph above shows, gold is today as cheap in relation to US money supply as it was in 1970 when gold was $35 and in 2000 when gold was $300.

Gold adjusted for money supply

For financial survival, physical gold and silver will be life savers as bubble asset like stocks, bonds and property collapse in real terms. But due to the fragile financial system, precious metals must be held in private & safe vaults outside the system.

But any large-scale military exercise close to an adversary’s borders sends a geopolitical message — in this case that NATO will not allow parts of the Black Sea to become a Russian “pond.” The exercise also offers support to Ukraine, which is engaged in a conflict with Russia-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine. “We are demonstrating to the world that the Black Sea is an international sea. It is open and available for the free transport of commerce, of shipping, for all nations, and it is not owned by any one nation,” Capt. Kyle Gantt said at a briefing Tuesday.

Or qu’a-t-on observé ?

OTTAWA, Ontario, July 5, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Two controversial bills championed by Canada’s ruling Liberal Party under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau failed to pass the nation’s senate during the last day of debate on June 29, before the upper chamber broke for the summer.

The contentious internet censorship Bill C-10 was sent to committee by Canada’s senate before the summer recess, meaning for now at least it has not become law.

Also failing to make it through the senate before the summer break was the controversial Bill C-6, or “conversion therapy” ban. This bill would punish those helping children with gender confusion or unwanted same-sex attraction with jail time of up to five years.

Should a late summer or fall election be called by Trudeau, as is anticipated, before the senate is scheduled to reconvene, the bills and all others not passed will die.

Should an election not be called before the senate is scheduled to return in mid-September, C-10 and C-6 will still face further study, meaning their possible passage with Royal Assent is potentially months away.   SUBSCRIBE to LifeSite’s daily headlines U.S. Canada World Catholic

During the final debate of Bill C-10, well-known Canadian author and Senator David Adams Richards, who was appointed by Trudeau in 2017, took aim at the controversial legislation in an impassioned speech.

“I will always and forever stand against any bill that subjects freedom of expression to the doldrums of governmental oversight, and I implore others to do the same,” said Richards.

“I don’t think this bill needs amendments; I think, however, it needs a stake through the heart.”  — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: Reject government control of the internet in Canada

Dr. Michael Geist, law professor at University of Ottawa and Canada Research Chair in Internet and E-commerce Law, commented that debate in the senate regarding Bill C-10 “was marked by consistent calls for more study” on the bill.

Geist also took note of Richards’ speech, saying it took “one of Canada’s most celebrated authors” to set the “record straight and bring the debate to a close” regarding Bill C-10.

Bill C-10, known as “An Act to Amend the Broadcasting Act,” has drawn immense fire for its targeting of user-generated content on social media platforms.

Canada’s House of Commons passed Bill C-10 while most Canadians were asleep in late June. The bill had the full support of Liberal, NDP, and Bloc Québécois MPs. Only Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) MPs voted against the bill. Two independent MPs also voted against the bill, Derek Sloan and former Liberal Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould.

The bill would force websites, including YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, to remove content deemed “harmful” within 24 hours, and also compel sites such as Netflix to have more Canadian content.

Canadian senator Pamela Wallin took aim at how Bill C-10 was pushed through Canada’s House of Commons. She said it was passed in “kangaroo-court” style, and in late June vowed to fight its passage in the senate chambers.

“I will do everything I can to make sure this bill isn’t rammed through. Standing up to Bill C-10 is standing up against censorship and standing up for free speech. If we don’t say NO now, it will be too late,” tweeted Wallin on June 22.

Wallin addressed those who supported opposing Bill C-10 shortly after the senate closed for the summer.

“Heartfelt thanks to the many thousands of you who believe in free speech and oppose any attempt at censorship. Your messages of support as we resisted Bill C-10 were meaningful. The bill has now been sent to committee and if there is no election, we will take it on in the fall,” tweeted Wallin.

Senate rumored to be considering reconvening to look at ‘conversion therapy’ bill

According to a Globe and Mail report, some senators are looking to possibly reconvene in the summer to look at Bill C-6.

The Globe and Mail says that there are multiple groups of senators who have requested the upper chamber be recalled to pass Bill C-6, after being criticized for not doing so before the summer break.

For the senate to be recalled during the summer, senate speaker George Furey would have to agree, and as of publication time, no announcement has been made.

Bill C-6, often referred to as a “conversion therapy” ban, has been called a “disgraceful” attack on parental freedoms by family groups.

The bill passed Canada’s House of Commons in late June with full support from the Liberal, New Democrat, Green, and Bloc Quebecois MPs. Only 63 Conservative Party (CPC) MPs voted against the bill, with 51 voting in favor of it.

Bill C-6 was introduced by Justice Minister David Lametti on October 1, 2020. It defines “conversion therapy” as any “practice, treatment or service designed to change a person’s sexual orientation to heterosexual or gender identity to cisgender, or to repress or reduce non-heterosexual attraction or sexual behaviour.”

Ahead of the vote on Bill C-6 in Canada’s House of Commons in June,  Sloan held a press conference with a lineup of licensed psychologists and others who spoke out in opposition to it.

Dr. Anne Gillies, a Canadian trauma specialist working with Restoring the Mosaic, said at the press conference that she wants “counselors to be able to help their clients.”

“C-6, as it presently stands, clearly and significantly discriminates against Canadians on the basis of sexual orientation. And it defines conversion therapy as — in practice, treatment, or service — to reduce or repress non-heterosexual attraction or sexual behavior or nonsense gender. Gender expression counseling to simply reduce unwanted sexual behavior is going to be criminalized. And this means LGBTQ Canadians would be prevented support,” said Gillies.

Inventor of mRNA technology removed from Wikipedia after he warned against taking COVID jabs

Dr. Robert Malone is no longer recognized by Wikipedia as being the creator of the technology used in some COVID-19 vaccines. Mon Jul 5, 2021 – 8:31 pm EST

July 5, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Information about the inventor of the mRNA technology used in certain COVID-19 vaccines was removed from the online encyclopedia site Wikipedia after he publicly warned against giving the experimental gene therapy vaccines to young people and that there was insufficient information about the injections to give informed consent.

Dr. Robert Malone, M.D., M.S., discovered RNA transfection and, while he was at the Salk Institute in San Diego in 1988, invented mRNA vaccines. His research was continued the next year at Vical, and between 1988 and 1989, Malone wrote the patent disclosures for mRNA vaccines.

wcea facebook

On June 10, 2021, Dr. Malone joined biologist Bret Weinstein, Ph.D, on the Dark Horse Podcast, where Malone raised numerous safety concerns about the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, both of which use mRNA technology. He warned about future autoimmune issues caused by the spike proteins within the mRNA injections.

Malone also stated that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was aware that the spike proteins were “biologically active and could travel from the injection site and cause adverse events, and that the spike protein, if biologically active, is very dangerous.”

YouTube swiftly moved to censor clips from the three-hour podcast interview.  SUBSCRIBE to LifeSite’s daily headlines U.S. Canada World Catholic

Then, appearing on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight some days later, Dr. Malone issued further warnings about the vaccines, the content of which is contrary to the mainstream media’s promotion of the injections. The mRNA inventor declared that there was still insufficient data for anyone to make an informed decision about receiving the vaccines.

Malone also warned against the injections being given to young people: “I have a bias that the benefits probably don’t outweigh the risks in that cohort. But, unfortunately, the risk-benefit analysis is not being done.”

Carlson described Malone as being perhaps “the single most qualified person on planet earth to discuss this subject” given his status as the inventor of the technology behind the injections now being rolled out, and in some cases mandated, to people across the globe.

However, Malone was not targeted merely by YouTube. Just days after the Dark Horse Podcast was released, the Wikipedia entry for “RNA vaccine” was changed, removing him and his role from the article, and thus potentially removing the weight that his warnings about the technology might convey.

An archived version of the site from June 14, 2021, clearly lists Malone as the creator and initial researcher into the technology.

Image

Just two days later, June 16, the site was altered to remove any mention of Dr. Malone in the text of the entry. Instead of detailing his exploits, the entry now states that mRNA technology was discovered by “researchers at the Salk Institute, the University of California, San Diego, and Vical.”

The site was to undergo yet another change, and at the time of writing (July 5), the entry had undergone another substantial alteration, this time mentioning Jon Wolff, a collaborator of Malone’s in 1990, and giving him chief credit for the mRNA research experiments.

Image

Furthermore, the current Wikipedia entry now lists Katalin Karikó as “a scientist behind a key discovery in the development of mRNA vaccines.” As noted by commentators on YouTube, Karikó is, unlike Dr. Malone, a public proponent of the experimental vaccines, commenting to The Guardian in November 2020 on the mRNA vaccine: “I never doubted it would work.”

The 66-year-old biochemist is currently the senior vice president at BioNTech RNA Pharmaceuticals, having been in the position since 2013, and is the head of RNA protein replacement therapies. BioNTech is partnered with Pfizer in developing, producing and distributing the hastily developed, experimental COVID-19 injection.

A marked difference in tone toward the COVID-19 injections can be noticed between Dr. Malone and Karikó. While Malone warned that no one had sufficient information to be able to make an informed decision about taking the vaccine, Karikó hailed mRNA as a potential “a universal platform” for future drugs.

Meanwhile, the number of adverse reactions and deaths occurring after the COVID-19 injections continues to mount. The Defender reported that the latest data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now numbers 411,931 total adverse events after the COVID-19 injection, including 6,985 deaths and 34,065 serious injury reports

Of that number, VAERS noted that there are 186,196 adverse events for the Pfizer/BioNTech injection, with 2,403 deaths and 16,139 serious events.

Wikipedia has faced criticism for being “a provider of inaccuracy and bias,” according to Joseph Farah, CEO and editor-in-chief of WorldNetDaily (WND). Farah noted that his own bio page was full of inaccuracies, libels, out-of-date information, and puerile insults.

So much has the website become a proponent of left-wing “propaganda” that Wikipedia’s co-founder Larry Sanger is attempting to launch an alternative. He stated that the site “completely ignores any conservative, libertarian, or critical treatment of the subject.”

While the platform did not begin with a left-leaning bias, Sanger explained that a decade ago “as liberals, or leftists made their march through the institutions, Wikipedia became one of those influential institutions. They started their march and basically took it over.”

In October 2020, Wikipedia also banned editors from displaying “user boxes” that would demonstrate opposition to same-sex “marriage” and support for traditional marriage. User boxes supporting traditional marriage were deemed to be “inflammatory or divisive” and promoting “bigotry.”

PARIS, France, July 5, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – During a recent trip to France, where he ordained two priests and two deacons for the traditional Latin Mass at the Institute of the Good Shepherd, Bishop Athanasius Schneider gave a large number of talks and interviews about his book of conversations with Diane Montagna, Christus Vincit, last year translated into French. Bishop Schneider, who is the auxiliary bishop of Nur Soltan, the capital of Kazakhstan, is known for his outspokenness and his steadfastness in defending the traditional beliefs and doctrines of the Church. Answering the questions of Gabrielle Cluzel of the French independent web media, “Boulevard Voltaire,” he stated very clearly that Islam is a false religion, saying:

We are living in a spiritual battle between truth and lies. Between the true religion, which is only the Catholic faith, which was revealed by God and given to all men, and the other religions, and in a special way Islam, which is a very strong religion, politically tooalso. The clergy must be very honest, to say that there are intrinsic dangers in this religion: the element of physical violence, intolerance, discrimination against people considered as non-Muslims, second class citizens.

In contrast with the pro-migration narrative of so many French bishops, Schneider warned that the political trend in welcoming ever more Muslim migrants into France and Europe – a situation he called the “de facto islamization of France and now of Europe” –   means that this transformation is only a matter of time.

Calling for the “true apostolic missionary zeal” in the face of Islam, Bishop Schneider said: “We have to offer our brothers and sisters who are Muslim citizens the happiness of hearing the truth of the Catholic faith too.”

Gabrielle Cluzel asked Bishop Schneider about the religious state of France and the coronavirus crisis in particular. The bishop emphasized that France, despite its secularism derived from the French Revolution, still impressed him with its public mobilization for the right to public worship during the COVID lockdowns, when hundreds of faithful of all ages joined prayerful demonstrations to protest against “arbitrary measures” on the part of the secularist government.  SUBSCRIBE to LifeSite’s daily headlines U.S. Canada World Catholic

Referring to the COVID crisis, Bishop Schneider called it the manifestation of a “new religion”: “the religion of the body, or the religion of bodily health only, with all its forms of fear, intimidation, panic…” He added: “A large part of the population has allowed itself to be intimidated because it had already lived in the midst of a vision of the body only, not of spirituality, not of the vision that there is still an eternal life, that there is still the immortality of the soul. It was a demonstration of the state of our society, completely materialistic and living a new religion.”

Here below is LifeSite’s full translation of Bishop Schneider’s interview with Gabrielle Cluzel on “Boulevard Voltaire.”

Gabrielle Cluzel : I would like us to talk about France since your frequent travels allow you to make comparisons and put things in perspective. What would you say about French Catholics?

Bishop Schneider : I was impressed during the lockdown by the example of French Catholics when they protested in a peaceful way against these arbitrary measures, the prohibition of worship. We saw many Catholics in various places in France praying the rosary in public, on the sidewalk, on their knees, with young people, children. I don’t know of any other example in Europe of this very strong way of expressing fidelity to worship, to Sunday Mass during the lockdown. Even if [they did not turn out] in large numbers, it was still a very impressive example. I think that French Catholics have the heritage of the martyrs of the persecution of the Church that took place during the French Revolution, and then the example of the fidelity of the Catholics of the Vendée, and of the saints who are today known and best loved throughout the world, the French saints: the Curé d’Ars, St. Therese of the Child Jesus… The devotion to the Sacred Heart began in France with Saint Marguerite-Marie Alacoque at Paray-le-Monial, and then the Eucharistic devotion was promoted in a very strong way by Saint Pierre-Julien Eymard, a French saint.  There are also the missionary congregations, very meritorious, from France: the mission to Africa, in a particular way, was founded by French missionaries. I think that Catholic France has been a gift to the whole Church with its great treasure of spirituality, of saints. Now we can observe that there are communities in France, however small, that try to keep this faith, this fidelity of the Catholic faith, and to transmit this faith to the younger generations. This is a sign of hope.

G. C. : It is true that we are lacking hope a little because, without being a catastrophist, if I do a brief review of the situation in France, there are dozens of churches that have burned down in the last few years, destroyed either by malice or by negligence. But the facts are there: there are desecrations, thefts of religious goods. There are more than a thousand anti-religious acts recorded per year in France, and Catholicism is the most attacked religion. You remember that Father Hamel had his throat cut in his church; there are faithful in Nice who were assassinated by Islamists in their basilica. In another vein, there are Catholic priests who were insulted and maltreated while processioning to Montmartre; the Mass was forbidden during the COVID lockdown, and priests and faithful were denounced as bad citizens because they did not observe the rules to the letter… You yourself experienced in your childhood what it means to be persecuted in your faith and not to be able to practice it. Do you think that this could happen in France in the short or medium term? Or should we not give in to pessimism?

Bishop Schneider: These phenomena that you have described are already signs [of persecution], but at the same time I think that Catholics in France must not let themselves be intimidated. You must have a spirit of courage and of public witness, and of defense of the rights of Catholics, of the faithful. You have to have associations, including with all people of good will, to protect the fundamental rights of Christians in the public space. Perhaps there will come a time when Catholics will be isolated, discriminated against. I don’t think it will be a direct, bloody persecution, as was the case during the French Revolution. I think there is a possibility that Catholics will be isolated, discriminated against in public life and in their professional life, because of their fidelity to the faith. I have in mind the possibility of this subtle, cunning form of persecution.

G.C.: I must point out that our readers are sometimes quite critical of the clergy because our readers are sometimes more cultural than worshiping CatholicsThey are not always practicing Catholics, but they are people who are attached to the Christian roots of France. And in their comments, they sometimes judge the Catholic Church to be not very comprehensible, or even to be ineffectual, in the face of the massive and visible rise of Islam in our country. It is as if a certain vision of charity and inter-religious dialogue paralyzed them. What do you think of this? Is there not a spiritual battle to be waged by the Church?

Bishop Schneider: Of course, we must have a realistic vision because we are living in a spiritual battle between truth and lies, between the true religion, which is only the Catholic faith, which was revealed by God and given to all men, and the other religions – and in a special way Islam, which is a very strong religion: politically too. The clergy must be very honest, must say that there are intrinsic dangers in this religion: the element of physical violence, intolerance, discrimination against people considered non-Muslims, second class citizens. But this has always been the case in Muslim countries where we can observe the same thing. We must dialogue with Islam, of course, but with honesty, sincerity. And it must be said that our European culture, marked by Christianity or the very strong Catholic faith, should be preserved in our society. The de facto Islamization of France and now of Europe, we can observe it by the promotion of migrants through politics. Thus, the numerical presence of Islam is still increasing. It is only a question of time. At the same time, we can observe this phenomenon: a great part of the clergy, of the episcopate, does not possess missionary zeal, the true apostolic missionary zeal, to preach the Gospel, the Catholic faith, to our society and also to Islam. We have to offer our brothers and sisters who are Muslim citizens the happiness of hearing the truth of the Catholic faith too.

G.C.: The French sometimes have the feeling that Catholicism and with it the civilization it has shaped are in the process of fading away, of tiptoeing away. Is this inexorable or do you think there is reason to hope? You have given us some signs, but what is your reply to those who say that ultimately this exit from Catholicism and Western civilization is just the unavoidable course of history?

Bishop Schneider: We have been able to observe this process since the French Revolution. The beginning was there: the destruction of Christian civilization, and at all levels of society the appearance of the so-called secular or religion-free spirit. And now we have the fruits of this process of two centuries of secularization. Nevertheless, I think that we can join our efforts to re-establish, little by little, the values of Christian culture: the values of the family, of morality, of the defense of life and of the presence of God in the midst of society.  — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: Urge U.S. Bishops to publicly excommunicate Joe Biden (and other pro-abortion politicians)

G.C.: Should the reaction we have seen in this health crisis, this wind of fear, disproportionate to the seriousness of a crisis that no one denies but that is not comparable to the Black Death, be linked to the loss of spirituality? Will it leave its mark?

Bishop Schneider: We live in a society, I would say, which has a new religion, and this new religion can be called the religion of the body, or the religion of bodily health only, with all its forms of fear, intimidation, panic… A large part of the population has allowed itself to be intimidated because it had already lived in the midst of a vision of the body only, not of spirituality, not of the vision that there is still an eternal life, that there is still the immortality of the soul. It was a demonstration of the state of our society, completely materialistic, and living a new religion.

G.C.: We are witnessing in France a very strong rise of violence. There is a fragmentation of society. There is no more common destiny; moreover, people do not go out to vote any more. Isn’t this ultimately a sign of the decline of the Church as a social moderator, and does not the Church also have a mission to rebuild all this?

Bishop Schneider: I think that the Church has [as her] principal mission to preach the divine truths: the revelation, the salvation of the soul, eternal salvation. This is the first mission of the Church. We can observe this behavior towards the political election: people have no more interest for the common good, for society. It is an expression, a demonstration of selfishness that is the consequence of materialism. We have to re-establish the interest for the common good for all and also a spiritual vision of man, of human life that is not only material – and it is the task of the Church to proclaim that there is still another life. Not only the material, bodily life, health. There is another life, the life of the soul, the life with God, the supernatural life, the eternal life. And this is the task of the Church. I think that at present the clergy, the hierarchy, has failed in its duty to preach very clearly this vision of immortal life, of supernatural life, of eternal life.

G.C.: Conservative Catholics are often criticized for always saying that it was better in the old days, as the Latin aphorism goes. Even Pope Francis recently warned Christians against preachers urging a return to past traditions in response to current crises. But, after all, wasn’t it better in the old days?

Bishop Schneider: I think that society despises the past, the wisdom, the experience of the past, of our ancestors, that we have all received at the outset: our life and our culture. And so it is our task to pass on whatever we have received that is good and valuable. This is the exact nature of the crisis: the fact that the spirit of this secularized, secularist society has despised the fundamental values of Christian culture, and it is because of this contempt for tradition, for the past, that we have to a great extent the present crisis, which is spiritual and cultural as well. That’s why I think that this action that you mentioned doesn’t work, on the contrary. You have seen it in your own family: every family transmits to the children the experience of all the good things that this family, or the mother, or the father, must transmit. But the main, fundamental, indispensable value that every family should transmit is the faith, the Catholic faith that we have received. Each generation cannot invent it anew, but must transmit it. It is the most precious treasure. And only on the basis of this Catholic faith can we re-establish, reconstruct a social life worthy of man with a worthy culture that brings us true happiness, also, possibly, here on earth – where it is always a limited, fragile happiness – but always to guide us towards eternal and perpetual happiness.

VATICAN CITY, July 5, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – A senior Vatican official has confirmed that over Easter Pope Francis invited a group of transgender individuals to the Vatican to receive COVID-19 vaccines. Pope Francis previously gave money to the same group last year when COVID restrictions prevented them from working with their usual “customers on the street.”

Religion News Service (RNS) reported July 2, that Pope Francis had issued a personal invitation to the transgender community based at Torvaianica, at the parish of Blessed Virgin of the Immaculate, to come for their COVID vaccination. The Vatican had been opened up by the Office of Papal Charities during Holy Week, to administer COVID-19 injections to the homeless and vulnerable.

wcdm twitter

Thus on Holy Saturday, April 3, buses arrived at the Vatican with 50 people from Torvaianica, all seeking their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.

RNS noted that the information had been confirmed to them by Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, the papal almoner, who himself had reached out to the priest in Torvaianica, Father Andrea Conocchia, with the suggestion that the transgender group come to the Vatican for the vaccines.

According to Juan Carlos Cruz, the openly homosexual man appointed by Francis to the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors, Vatican officials asked the Pope for guidance when the buses from Torvaianica arrived.  SUBSCRIBE to LifeSite’s daily headlines U.S. Canada World Catholic

When questioned, Pope Francis reportedly exclaimed “Absolutely vaccinate them!” Pope Francis further added that when the injections were being administered, Vatican officials were not to ask the transgender individuals about their sex.

“Ask for their names, ask for anything they need, but do not ask them about their sex,” said the Pope, according to Cruz.

Speaking to RNS, Fr. Conocchia stated that Pope Francis’s actions towards the transgender individuals showed that “the church is a part of the people, whoever they are. For us they have value. They are a noun, not an adjective.”

Conocchia added that the transgender group was “moved to tears” by Pope Francis’ actions. They “felt remembered, having experienced once again and in a tangible way the closeness and tenderness of the pope’s charity,” stated Conocchia.

“It was truly Easter,” commented the Conocchia, when describing the gift of the COVID-19 injections to the group. It was “a day of life and resurrection.”

The vaccine invitation was not merely to the transgender individuals, but also to parish volunteers, as well as immigrants cared for by the Catholic aid group Community of St. Egidio, and “struggling families and divorced parents,” supported by Caritas.

According to Conocchia, many of the group who received the COVID-19 injections at the Vatican were without official documentation, and thus unable to avail of Italy’s health service.

They returned on April 23 for their second shot.

Pope Francis himself had spent part of Good Friday, April 2, at the Vatican’s COVID-19 vaccination center in the Paul VI Audience Hall, where he posed for a picture.

Pope Francis’s relationship with Torvaianica LGBT group

Indeed, the Pope Francis’ Easter gift is not the first time that he has singled out the transgender group at Torvaianica for special attention. In the spring of 2020, he again instructed his almoner, Cardinal Krajewski, to send money to the group after they contacted the Vatican for financial assistance.

Conocchia’s parish had been turned into a “haven” for “about 20 transgender women,” wrote RNS. During the Italian COVID-19 restrictions, the “transgender women,” most of whom were reportedly sex workers, were without sources of income, and so turned to Conocchia.

When unable to offer any more support himself, the priest directed the group to petition Pope Francis.

wcea facebook

Upon receiving the request, Francis reportedly directed Cardinal Krajewski to wire money directly to the group, most of whom were not Catholic.

Pope Francis’ actions prompted praise from LGBT organizations, including the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics, who stated it was an example of the Gospel and its nature of promoting “love beyond words.”

“This is ordinary work for the Church, it’s normal,” stated Krajewski at the time. “This is how the Church is a field hospital.”

Ongoing support for ‘transgender’ ideology

Pope Francis has previously affirmed people claiming to be a member of the opposite sex, more commonly known as transgender or transsexual.

In January 2015 he granted an audience to the two women whom the world’s press dubbed a “transsexual man and his fiancée.”

Then in 2016, during an in-flight press conference on his way back to Rome from a trip to Georgia and Azerbaijan, Pope Francis recounted how he had once received a letter “from a Spanish man who told me his story from the time when he was a child. He was born a female, a girl, and he suffered greatly because he felt that he was a boy but physically was a girl.” Throughout the interview, Francis referred to the person as a “man,” even though she necessarily continued to be a biological woman. “He, who had been she, but is he,” Francis emphasized.

Despite this, Catholic teaching on transgender issues remains unchanging, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “Everyone, man and woman, should acknowledge and accept his sexual identity.” (CCC # 2333)

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s 1975 document, Persona Humana, also echoed this with the words, “There can be no true promotion of man’s dignity unless the essential order of his nature is respected.”

Cardinal Raymond Burke and Bishop Athanasius Schneider, together with several other bishops, wrote in their 2019 Declaration of Truths that gender reassignment surgery is a “grave sin” and a “rebellion” against divine and natural law.  — Article continues below Petition — SIGN THE PETITION: Bishops, please stop Fr. Ongoing vaccine endorsement

Pope Francis has made a point of issuing appeals for vaccines to be distributed widely and easily across the world. Such a theme was a feature both of his 2020 Christmas Urbi et Orbi address, and his recent Easter message, in which he called for vaccines to be distributed to all, especially “in the poorest countries.”

Pope Francis subsequently made another surprise visit to the Vatican’s vaccination center, this time on his patronal feast of St. George, when he visited the staff and vaccine recipients in the Paul VI hall to support the vaccination drive.

Earlier this year, Francis said that it was a moral duty to take the injection. “I believe that, ethically, everyone should take the vaccine,” he declared. “It must be done.”

Francis’ endorsement of the injection comes despite growing reports of adverse effects and even deaths, following the injection. Last week The Defender reported that the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the U.S., now reports 411,931 total adverse events following the COVID-19 injection, including 6,985 deaths and 34,065 serious injury reports.
