WHITE ROCK, B.C. (LifeSiteNews) — Canada’s Prime Minister was chased out of a town in British Columbia this week.
A swarm of angry Canadians in the electoral district of South Surrey- White Rock shouted their disapproval at Justin Trudeau on a residential street this Monday because of his support for vaccine mandates, lockdowns, and other draconian measures taken in response to COVID-19.
Trudeau is on the campaign trail, seeking re-election.
Video footage of the confrontation in Surrey-area White Rock, which contains expletives and strong language, shows a masked Trudeau, surrounded by a team of police bodyguards, walking and waving while the crowd responds with loud boos and critical shouts.
“You monster! You ruined families! You’re responsible for death! There’s blood on your hands!” shouted one of the Canadians.
“Your employees don’t want to get the vax!” another man added.
In the video, dozens of people can be seen following Trudeau as a fleet of officers help him escape the town, with one man saying, “Look at this, chased out of Surrey.”
“Nobody wants you here, you monster! How many jabs? How many boosters?” one man demanded.
“Are you proud of the two-tier society you’re responsible for?” a voice in the distance inquired.
“I thought you were against segregation,” stated another.
“You said you were against passports! You said you were against vaccine passports!” exclaimed yet another angry man.

Matt Brevner of Rebel News peppered Trudeau with questions about his COVID-19 policies as the crowd seethed.
“Prime Minister Trudeau was in White Rock BC today to discuss home affordability,” he tweeted above his own footage of the disturbance.
Trudeau, eventually placed in a tinted-window SUV, was separated from the concerned citizens he was elected to serve by a perimeter of police officers placed around the vehicle.
“Talk to us, you coward,” cried an onlooker. The entire crowd continued to boo while Trudeau’s vehicle sped off down the road.
Trudeau, who had visited the same area of South Surrey in both 2015 and 2017, was previously met with applause and cheers by roughly one thousand people, according to the Williams Lake Tribune.
The confrontation followed Monday’s news of the digital vaccine passport system that will go into effect on September 13 throughout the province of British Columbia.
The passport system will be contested in the B.C. Supreme Court by civil rights attorney Rocco Galati. Galati is representing Tanya Gaw’s Action4Canada, among other groups.
The claim filed by Gaw and Galati seeks to repeal the Orwellian COVID-19 measures put in place in the province of British Columbia. The suit is also seeking damages and aims at holding Trudeau, B.C. Premier John Horgan, and B.C. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry liable for the harm caused by their “unconstitutional” actions.
The federal election called by Trudeau, to be held on September 20, features only one major candidate publicly opposed to the COVID-19 measures and the proliferation of vaccine mandates: Maxime Bernier, the leader of the conservative People’s Party of Canada.
LifeSiteNews reached out to both the Conservative MP for South Surrey-White Rock, Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, and the Liberal candidate for the riding, former MP Gordie Hogg, but has not yet received responses.
‘God made from one every nation of men’: Exploding the evolutionary myth of creation-based racism, Pt 5
If a Westerner takes the trouble to listen to black Africans, especially in Africa, as they reflect on their present and future in the light of their past, he will doubtless be amazed to discover how deeply religious and traditional Africans remain, in spite of the relentless promotion of Western secular humanist ideas through foreign NGO’s and the mass media African family in their Sunday dresses.Shutterstock.com
Editors note: This is part 4 of a five part series of articles on the topic, by Hugh Owen. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4 can be found on LifeSiteNews.
Part V
(LifeSiteNews) – It is particularly ironic that Allison Hopper and her editors at Scientific American combine their libels against the Church with an utter contempt for the true history, traditions, and values of black Africans all over the world. Assuming without proof, and against the evidence, that the Bible and traditional Christianity promote “white supremacy” and black “inferiority,” Hopper manages to conclude her article without making even a modest effort to find out what dark-skinned African human beings actually think about molecules-to-man evolution, the Bible, and traditional Christianity. Having visited Africa quite a few times, and having spent quite a bit of time especially in East Africa, I have to wonder if the self-appointed evolution-believing “saviors” of black Africa have ever taken the time to learn about the history, traditions, and values of the ones they are purporting to save from the clutches of Christian “white supremacists.”https://static.lifeserver.net/709b1e30a292a046243572436ad0600c/index.html?clickTag=https%3A%2F%2Fservedby.lifeserver.net%2Fcl.php%3Fbannerid%3D80884%26zoneid%3D8553%26sig%3D7a963ec7211d5cb7d678ac605ed0f50ff09fadf55108019445ee8f19cc286ebc%26oadest%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fbit.ly%252F3hm5Nxs
Anyone who delves deeply into the creation-evolution controversy cannot help discovering that evolutionary claims are not only consistently false, but in most cases the very opposite of the truth. For example, biology textbooks all over the world continue to indoctrinate students in the “dogma” that mutation + natural selection = microbe to man evolution. As demonstrated by Dr. John Sanford in Genetic Entropy, however, mutations degrade the architecture of the genomes of plants, animals and humans, so that they actually produce devolution rather than evolution throughout the biosphere—the opposite of evolution!
If a Westerner takes the trouble to listen to black Africans, especially in Africa, as they reflect on their present and future in the light of their past, he will doubtless be amazed to discover how deeply religious and traditional Africans remain, in spite of the relentless promotion of Western secular humanist ideas through foreign NGO’s and the mass media. Moreover, the Westerner who actually listens to Africans speak about their past will discover that the traditions of African peoples throughout the African continent tell a very different story of their origins and past migrations from the “scientific” account of their past promoted by evolutionary biologists.
When I was a student in the 1960’s at what were considered the best schools in New York City, I was taught the conventional wisdom in mainstream anthropology, that “primitive man” had a “primitive” religion based on spiritism, which evolved over hundreds of thousands of years into monotheism. According to this view, Moses “invented” a particularly sophisticated form of monotheism for which he took elements of the pagan myths circulating in his Near Eastern environment and fashioned them into the Creation and Flood accounts in the Book of Genesis. I do not remember anyone in any of my classes, teacher or student, ever calling into question this secular dogma on the evolution of religion, but it is funny to realize that this “accepted view” had already been utterly falsified in serious scholarly circles long before I was born. Thanks to the work of scholars like Fr. Wilhem Schmidt, who carefully examined the testimony of missionaries and explorers who had interacted with “primitive” peoples all over the world, it had become evident by the middle of the twentieth century that the original religion of mankind was not “polytheism” and “spiritism,” but monotheism. Typical of the multitude of testimonies collected by Fr. Schmidt and other researchers was the testimony of the first Catholic missionaries to the Kingdom of Baganda (now Uganda):
The first Catholic missionaries to Uganda were the White Fathers, members of the Society of Missionaries of Africa, founded in 1868 by the Archbishop of Algiers, Cardinal Charles Lavigerie . . . According to the White Fathers:
The ancient religion of the Baganda had been monotheistic. They had worshipped the Creator of all things under various titles: Katonda, the Creator; Mukama, the Master; and Seggulu, the Lord of Heaven. The worship of Katonda, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, was in the early days the basis of public and private morality. The ancient Baganda were said to have been remarkably honest and loyal in their dealings with each other, and to have had a strict code of morality which frowned on polygamy and even forbade immodest talk.
The Baganda memory of a time when their ancestors practiced strict monotheism and monogamy points to a common element of the traditions of mankind—the memory of a time when their connection to the Creator was lost and the chain linking them to their original ancestors was broken. In his fascinating book Eternity in Their Hearts, missionary researcher Don Richardson records numerous accounts of pagan peoples who retained a vivid memory of the events recorded in the first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis right up to modern times, prior to any kind of Christian evangelization. Whereas the modern “scientific” account of man’s origin imagines the first homo sapiens evolving from a common ancestor with chimpanzees in East Africa and migrating north into Asia and Europe, the traditions of black Africans, not surprisingly, tell a different story—one that is completely opposite to evolutionary mythology. I have had the opportunity to speak with Africans in Africa from many different tribes, and so far I have not found a single one who had not received from his ancestors the tradition that their tribe had originated in the north and migrated south.
These traditions harmonize perfectly with the sacred history of Genesis which tells us that after the Global Flood in the time of Noah a confusion of languages took place at Babel in the Near East, after which the ancestors of all of the existing people-groups on Earth dispersed and migrated east, west, north, and south into Africa. Thus, the tribal histories of black Africans confirm the literal truth of the sacred history of Genesis. Indeed, it is no coincidence that faith in the Bible and in traditional Christianity is stronger in Africa than anywhere else in the world, in spite of all the efforts of secular humanist propagandists to promote the anti-Gospel myth of molecules-to-man evolution. According to a recent article in the Financial Times in Nigeria:
Four in five [80%] Christians in Africa attend church at least once a week – Nigeria tops the list with an 88 percent attendance rate – and nearly the same number believe that the Bible is the literal word of God, the Pew study found.
The Church in Africa can save the world
In spite of the strong Christian faith still evident throughout the continent, during our many visits to Africa my colleagues and I have seen first-hand that evolution-based secular humanism has already made great inroads with African youth. If the younger generation is going to be preserved from the brainwashing that has afflicted most of the youth of Europe and North America, it will be through the deliberate effort of the Catholic Church and of other Christian communities in the country, exposing the errors of evolutionary mythology and establishing the true Christian doctrine of creation as the only firm foundation for a culture of life.
The summer after our first visit to Uganda, the Kolbe Center held its annual leadership retreat at a seminary in Missouri, and we decided to invite a team from Uganda, including two priests, a member of parliament, and two ladies who are very involved in the pro-life movement. The member of parliament told us that he and his colleagues were engaged in a pitched battle with heavily-funded foreign agents who are trying to introduce “reproductive health”—i.e. abortion, contraception and the anti-culture of death—as well as GMO agriculture into Uganda. We gave him our booklet GMO Food: Boon or Bane? and promised to offer whatever support we could. As GMO Food Boon or Bane? demonstrates, the GMO monoculture that has largely destroyed American agriculture is rooted in a false reductionist philosophy which reduces living things to a collection of replaceable parts rather than seeing them as created unities. This reductionist philosophy goes hand in hand with a false evolutionary philosophy which sees the different kinds of living things as the result of hundreds of millions of years of mutation and natural selection rather than as the result of divine creation, marred by thousands of years of genetic degradation as a consequence of Original Sin. By the grace of God, our friend in parliament was able to use the information in our publication to persuade many of his colleagues to oppose the introduction of unregulated GMO agriculture in Uganda.
Besides being besieged by the paid agents of agribusiness corporations, for decades the entire country, like most of Africa, has been overrun by paid agents of USAID, Marie Stopes International, UKAID and Planned Parenthood, all of them offering “free” contraceptives and sex education in the name of “women’s empowerment.” These agents of change have left a host of wounded women in their wake, victims of the “side effects” of contraception, who have learned that the agents of women’s “empowerment” have no interest in helping the countless women who have been and continue to be physically, emotionally, and spiritually devastated by the deluge of “free” contraceptives. Moreover, the UN agencies and their partner NGO’s are devilishly clever at getting approval for sex education materials without letting law-makers – much less parents! – examine the materials. This is symptomatic of the global extent of the evolution-based Kinseyan revolution against marriage and the family which shows nothing but condescension and contempt for the traditional creation-based religious and family values of the vast majority of African men and women. — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: Tell University of Pittsburgh to stop barbaric experiments using human babies 5575 have signed the petition.Let’s get to 6000! By the grace of God, many of the priests and lay leaders my colleagues and I have met in Africa see the signs of the times and recognize the necessity of rejecting evolution-based modernism and restoring the true teaching of the Church on creation as the foundation of the Faith. One seminary professor described evolution as:
a move of the devil to destroy our belief in the existence and power of God. The devil is doing this by first destroying our belief in creation, then our belief in God will crumble and fall by itself. Our Church in Africa is still innocent, but we need to help build a bulwark against any form of evolution be it theistic or atheistic. We need to do this in schools, because all secondary schools [teach] evolution in Biology. I was taught about it too while still at high school . . . We love our Creator and His method of creating keeps us much closer to Him than this . . . erroneous . . . evolution.
For his part, one pro-life leader affirmed his intent:
To expose that theistic evolution is false, a heresy of modernism, contrary to science, and a blasphemy of God by which His character is impugned; a challenge to the trustworthiness of the Incarnate Word, Who has revealed Himself by means of the oral Word and the written Word, both of which attest to the fact of fiat Creation;
A young woman, a university graduate, highlighted the importance of the traditional doctrine of creation for the defense of Holy Marriage and to reverse the destructive influences of the West on African society:
Linking Holy Marriage to the special creation of Adam and Eve teaches us that indeed marriage is an ultimate act of God and NOT a human idea that can easily be made and broken at any time . . . Divorce has become so common especially here in Uganda. With the so called human rights and [women’s] emancipation, everyone feels they have a right to this and that. Women are no longer submissive to their husbands and men too are not playing their role of being protectors in their homes. The marriage institution has lost meaning to some. Marrieds feel their problems can easily be solved in Court. It is like people get married to divorce.
Yet another pro-life leader, a young lawyer, told me that he has spoken of the importance of upholding the truth of the sacred history of Genesis at various conferences he has attended, with teachers and with other lay leaders. He tells me that the teachers, catechists, and other serious Catholics that he speaks to on this topic are always receptive and eager to learn how to defend the sacred history of Genesis to their young people. This is totally different from the norm in the United States, Europe, and Australia, even among traditional Catholic clergy and laity, where the usual response to any defense of the traditional doctrine of creation is opposition and ridicule, mixed with accusations of “fundamentalism” and absurdly confident appeals to radiometric dating and other alleged “proofs” of microbe-to-man evolution which fall apart upon examination.

From the mouth to the source of the Nile: African bishops contra mundum
The contemporary abandonment of the traditional Catholic doctrine of creation by most Church leaders in the so-called “rich countries” of the world recalls a previous crisis of faith in the fourth century when, according to patristics expert Fr. William Juergens, 97% of the Bishops of the Catholic Church maintained communion with Arian bishops who denied the divinity of Christ. In the midst of that unprecedented crisis of faith, St. Athanasius, the African Bishop of Alexandria at the mouth of the Nile River, led the small remnant of Orthodox Bishops who held fast to the Council of Nicea’s dogmatic definition of the divinity of Christ. In our day, it is fitting to observe that some of the most fervent defenders of the traditional dogma of creation are the Bishops of Uganda, “the pearl of Africa,” whose dioceses stand at or near the very source of the Nile River in Lake Victoria.
Indeed, when the Kolbe Center recently produced a seventeen-and-a-half-hour comprehensive defense of the traditional Christian doctrine of creation in video format, from the perspective of theology, philosophy, and natural science, Ugandan Bishop Linus Wanok was one of the first Bishops to recognize the importance of the DVD series and to recommend it to his brother Bishops throughout the world. He wrote:
As the devil strives to immerse and drown the world in darkness and confusion under the guise of science, and as he savagely launches his attacks on the pivotal doctrines of Holy Mother Church, the “Foundations Restored” DVD series casts a bright light which exposes and defeats the camouflaged lie of the Devil. The series offers logical, scientific, philosophical and theological arguments which not only restore the “Creation Providence” account to its proper place, but also liberate the whole realm of natural science from the grasp of its evolutionist hijackers. I therefore recommend the DVD series “Foundations Restored” without reservation for circulation in the public domain so as to combat error and to proclaim the reign of TRUTH.
In the neighboring Diocese of Soroti, Bishop Joseph Oliach echoed the sentiments of Bishop Wanok and recognized that only the traditional Catholic doctrine of the special creation of mankind could preserve the sacredness of human life. Speaking of the experts in theology, philosophy and natural science who appear in the DVD series, Bishop Oliach commented:
The presenters defend the traditional and authentic teachings on creation not by using their personal opinions, but by ably quoting from what has been preserved through centuries from the Church’s Magisterium and Holy Scripture. The presentation demonstrates how fervently and uninterruptedly the Church’s Magisterium has preserved the authentic doctrine of Creation while submitting to the superior and infallible deposit of Scripture.
I have no reason whatsoever to doubt the truths presented in this video series as regards our origins. It is not only ridiculous, but also nonsensical to imagine that the powerful species of humankind with all its intelligence could have evolved through some kind of “Special Transformism,” as this kind of thinking does a lot of injustice to the grandeur of the human person. It is only by acknowledging the fact that we were directly and immediately created by God, that we can preserve the sacredness of our human species who reflect the image of the Creator.
On our first visit to Bishop Wanok, when he was the Ordinary of the Diocese of Nebbi, my colleagues and I had to cross over the Nile River on a stretch of highway where chimpanzees frequently come down to the road. When I compared the anatomy of the chimpanzees on the side of the highway with the anatomy of human beings, the idea that humans could be descended from a common ancestor with chimps appeared so utterly absurd to me that it seemed quite certain that only a person far removed from the physical reality of the vast chasm separating apes from humans could ever have proposed such a preposterous conjecture!
Through the prayers of Our Lady Queen of Africa, of St. Athanasius, of the Holy Uganda Martyrs, and of all the Saints, may God raise up a remnant of holy Bishops, priests and faithful in Africa to defend and restore the traditional doctrine of creation as the foundation of the Faith and the only firm foundation for a culture of life! Amen.
Biden White House and State Department blocking rescue of Christians from Afghanistan
Islamic countries are more eager to accept Christians from Afghanistan than our State Department: ‘They have more compassion for these Christians than our American Government. It is insulting, embarrassing, and wrong.’
WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — The Biden Administration’s State Department is reportedly blocking the rescue of Afghani Christian converts seeking to flee the now Taliban-run nation in order to escape an almost certain and unimaginably grotesque death.
With the August 31 deadline looming to get endangered people out of Afghanistan, conservative radio and TV commentator Glenn Beck quickly raised $30 million to charter planes to airlift Christians who have been all but abandoned to the Taliban if not condemned to death by the Biden Administration.
“The State Department has blocked us every step of the way,” Beck told Fox News host Tucker Carlson in a Thursday night interview. “The State Department and the White House have been the biggest problem. Everyone else has been working together, putting aside differences and trying to get these people to safety.”
“The State Department and the White House have blocked us every single step of the way,” he reiterated.
Converted Christians marked not just for death, but to be burned alive
Before yesterday’s bombings at the Kabul Airport, Beck’s organization, the Nazarene Fund, had already put 5,100 refugees on planes out of Afghanistan.
Five hundred refugees —mostly Christian women and children— were waiting to board the next plane inside the airport’s safe zone when the bombings occurred. A military official ordered them to return to the other side of the gate, beyond the protected area of the airport.
“I have pictures of them pleading to get back through the gate,” said Beck. “I have pictures of blood and body parts and nothing but death in that same area.”
“Our mission is now changing greatly,” said Beck. “We have to send people into even greater danger to try to smuggle these Christians out, who are marked not just for death, but to be set on fire alive because they’re converted Christians.” — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: Urge U.S. Bishops to publicly excommunicate Joe Biden (and other pro-abortion politicians) 28662 have signed the petition.Let’s get to 30000! Muslim countries more compassionate toward Christians than the Biden Administration
“Islamic countries, Muslim countries, are more eager to accept Christians from Afghanistan than our State Department,” noted Carlson.

Other Middle Eastern countries “have more compassion for these Christians than our American Government,” said Beck. “It is insulting, embarrassing, and wrong.”
The U.S. government has chosen not to designate Christians or other religious minorities as priorities for evacuation, according to a statement from the U.S. Commission on Religious Freedom (USCIRF), an independent, bipartisan, U.S. federal government commission that monitors the universal right to freedom of religion or belief abroad.
Cleaning up President Biden’s mess
Beck said that the State Department has also shut down his efforts to persuade other nations to receive the Afghani Christian refugees.
“We had been looking for places where we can fly people in just to hold them, and Macedonia was one of them,” said Beck. “The Ambassador of Macedonia was called by the State Department and told not to take any of these people. What the hell?”
“I’ve heard similar reports,” said Sen. Cotton. “I know that our people on the ground inside the airport, both the Department of Defense and intelligence agents and our State Department officials are trying to move heaven and Earth to get people into the airport and out of the country, but the senior leadership at the State Department is a different kettle of fish.”
“I heard a story just this morning that we weren’t even allowing British nationals to get inside the airport with their Afghan partners and fly to Great Britain at private expense,” continued Cotton. “This wouldn’t even have an impact on the American government or taxpayer.”
“I’m very disturbed by these reports,” said Cotton. “At a minimum, we should be allowing countries that are willing to accept Afghans or willing to send chartered [aircraft] into Kabul to clean up some of President Biden’s mess.”
Before Thursday’s airport bombings, EWTN’s Katie Yoder tweeted a quote from the Hudson Institute’s Nina Shea:
“Afghan Christians ‘are not being allowed to board USG (U.S. government) flights in Kabul. I’m advising them to try to board Glenn Beck’s flights instead’”
will enter into the time of the Apocalypse’: Bishop Schneider warned about vaccine mandates
Bishop Schneider told LifeSite that should there be a mandatory global vaccine for coronavirus derived from cell lines from aborted babies, “then we will enter into the time of the Apocalypse.”
(LifeSiteNews) – In an interview with LifeSiteNews in October 2020, Bishop Athanasius Schneider laid out an “apocalypse” scenario regarding forced global vaccines derived from aborted babies. Now, as governments throughout the world including France, Italy, Australia, Canada, and the United States, just to name a few, are beginning to or have already mandated the abortion-tainted COVID jab, His Excellency’s words couldn’t have been any more prophetic.
Bishop Schneider told LifeSite that should there be a mandatory global vaccine for coronavirus derived from cell lines from aborted babies, “then we will enter into the time of the Apocalypse.”
He explained it this way. He said:
Maybe I’m wrong, but I have the suspicion that partly this COVID situation was created not only to implement a new dictatorship and control of the population, but in some way to legalize abortion globally – the killing of unborn babies – so that the entire planet will be collaborating in the process of killing babies through the vaccine which will use parts of aborted babies. The vaccine will be imposed and obligatory – so that you cannot work, travel, go to school without it, obliging the entire population to receive the vaccine, but the only vaccine will be that made with cells from aborted babies. Perhaps they will not accept other vaccines, and they will lie, saying that these are not effective, that the only effective vaccine will be from aborted babies. I am not affirming now that this will happen, but it is my suspicion: it appears to me realistic that this could come. This is for me the last step of Satanism: that Satan and the world government – ultimately the masonic world government – will oblige all, even the Church, to accept abortion in this way. And therefore we must resist very strongly against this, if it comes. We must even accept to be martyrs.
“And therefore we must resist very strongly against this, if it comes. We must even accept to be martyrs.” Wow. Are we ready for this? The only preparation can be making sure we are in the state of grace with fervent prayer and penance.
But it is after he says this that Bishop Schneider comes to the most grievous part. He says that “Unfortunately, some Bishops, even good Bishops and priests, are already presenting what for me is a sophism in justifying that you can accept this vaccine from aborted babies according to moral principles.”
A sophism is “a clever but false argument, especially one used deliberately to deceive.”
So Bishop Schneider says some bishops, even good ones, are “making a huge explanation, to me in a sophistic manner, of the principle of moral cooperation only, without your will, without your consent. But this is for me as sophism which cannot be applied to this concrete case, because it is evident to simple common sense that when you know this – that this vaccine is from aborted babies – then you cannot apply this moral principle, or theory, to this concrete case. And therefore we have to be very careful not to be induced into error because of this sophistic argument, even when it comes from good, traditional priests. This is the danger, and we have to resist this.”
And this is truly the case. All over the world today we have the vast majority of bishops pushing for a vaccine regardless of whether or not it is derived using the cells lines of aborted babies. As LifeSite has reported, the whole Bishops conference of England and Wales has stated that Catholics have a “primafacie duty to be vaccinated” referring to a vaccine for Coronavirus. “The Catholic Church strongly supports vaccination and regards Catholics as having a primafacie duty to be vaccinated, not only for the sake of their own health but also out of solidarity with others, especially the most vulnerable,” the letter released Thursday, July 30 states. “We believe that there is a moral obligation to guarantee the vaccination coverage necessary for the safety of others. This is especially important for the discovery of a vaccine against COVID-19,” the bishops continue.
The corrupted Vatican Pontifical Academy for Life put out a document in 2017 which claims there is a “moral obligation to guarantee the vaccination coverage necessary for the safety of others,” and adds “all clinically recommended vaccinations can be used with a clear conscience and that the use of such vaccines does not signify some sort of cooperation with voluntary abortion.”
On the other hand, in an open letter published in May, several Catholic Cardinals and bishops led by former papal nuncio Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò and Cardinals Gerhard Ludwig Mueller, Joseph Zen, and Janis Pujats said that “for Catholics it is morally unacceptable to develop or use vaccines derived from material from aborted fetuses.”
subscribe to our daily headlines US Canada Catholic
Additionally, at the May 2020 Rome Life Forum Cardinal Raymond Burke said: “It must be clear that it is never morally justified to develop a vaccine through the use of the cell lines of aborted fetuses.” He added that forced vaccines violate the “integrity of citizens.”
In the wake of the statement from the UK bishops, Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, Texas, reiterated his opposition to vaccines created using cell lines from aborted babies. “I renew my call that we reject any vaccine that is developed using aborted children,” Strickland tweeted.
“Even if it originated decades ago it still means a child’s life was ended before it was born & then their body was used as spare parts. We will never end abortion if we do not END THIS EVIL!”
More than 870,000 people have signed LifeSiteNews’ petition calling on governments around the world not to make coronavirus vaccines mandatory.
We now have the scenario of cardinals against cardinals and bishops against bishops predicted in the approved vision of Our Lady to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa in Akita Japan. On October 13, 1973 Our Lady told Sr. Sasagawa, “The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres…churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”
But corruption in the hierarchy was predicted from the beginning of the Church. In Acts, St. Luke writes, “I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock. And of your own selves shall arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.” Acts 20:29-30
Bishop Schneider did hope that his scenario of a forced global vaccine using aborted baby cells in its manufacture would not come to pass. He said, “But I hope that this will not come at a global level. When this does come, then we will enter into the time of the Apocalypse. In a time of Apocalypse, of which we already now have some signs, we must invoke evermore the angels, Saint Michael Archangel, and the message of Our Lady of Fatima that is becoming ever more timely and necessary.”
And at such times the lay faithful are often left wondering what can we do when facing insanity from bishops and Cardinals and even the Pope. But we have been given an answer. That answer came in response to LifeSite reporter Stephen Kokx asking Archbishop Viganò what the faithful can do in an open letter published at Catholic Family News. I will read you part of Archbishop Viganò’s reply.
One of my most cherished privileges in my nearly quarter century at LifeSite has been giving voice to Archbishop Viganò, this courageous soldier for Christ who apart from praying the rosary with us recently has never spoken in public but gives us his counsel only in letters.
I will conclude with his words:
“We cannot judge our pastors for their intentions, nor suppose that all of them are corrupt in faith and morals; on the contrary, we can hope that many of them, hitherto intimidated and silent, will understand, as confusion and apostasy continue to spread, the deception to which they have been subjected and will finally shake off their slumber. There are many laity who are raising their voice; others will necessarily follow, together with good priests, certainly present in every diocese. This awakening of the Church militant — I would dare to call it almost a resurrection — is necessary, urgent and inevitable: no son tolerates his mother being outraged by the servants, or his father being tyrannized by the administrators of his goods. The Lord offers us, in these painful situations, the possibility of being His allies in fighting this holy battle under His banner: the King Who is victorious over error and death permits us to share the honor of triumphal victory and the eternal reward that derives from it, after having endured and suffered with Him.
“But in order to deserve the immortal glory of Heaven we are called to rediscover — in an emasculated age devoid of values such as honor, faithfulness to one’s word, and heroism — a fundamental aspect of the faith of every baptized person: the Christian life is a militia, and with the Sacrament of Confirmation we are called to be soldiers of Christ, under whose insignia we must fight. Of course, in most cases it is essentially a spiritual battle, but over the course of history we have seen how often, faced with the violation of the sovereign rights of God and the liberty of the Church, it was also necessary to take up arms: we are taught this by the strenuous resistance to repel the Islamic invasions in Lepanto and on the outskirts of Vienna, the persecution of the Cristeros in Mexico, of the Catholics in Spain, and even today by the cruel war against Christians throughout the world. Never as today can we understand the theological hatred coming from the enemies of God, inspired by Satan. The attack on everything that recalls the Cross of Christ — on Virtue, on the Good and the Beautiful, on purity — must spur us to get up, in a leap of pride, in order to claim our right not only not to be persecuted by our external enemies but also and above all to have strong and courageous pastors, holy and God-fearing, who will do exactly what their predecessors have done for centuries: preach the Gospel of Christ, convert individuals and nations, and expand the Kingdom of the living and true God throughout the world.
“The lay faithful today have a sacred task: to comfort good priests and good bishops, gathering like sheep around their shepherds. Give them hospitality, help them, console them in their trials. Create community in which murmuring and division do not predominate, but rather fraternal charity in the bond of Faith. And since in the order established by God subjects owe obedience to authority and cannot do otherwise than resist it when it abuses its power, no fault will be attributed to them for the infidelity of their leaders, on whom rests the very serious responsibility for the way in which they exercise the vicarious power which has been given to them. We must not rebel, but oppose; we must not be pleased with the errors of our pastors, but pray for them and admonish them respectfully; we must not question their authority but the way in which they use it.
“I am certain, with a certainty that comes to me from Faith, that the Lord will not fail to reward our fidelity, after having punished us for the faults of the men of the Church, granting us holy priests, holy bishops, holy cardinals, and above all a holy Pope. But these saints will arise from our families, from our communities, from our churches: families, communities, and churches in which the grace of God must be cultivated with constant prayer, with the frequenting of Holy Mass and the Sacraments, with the offering of sacrifices and penances that the Communion of Saints permits us to offer to the Divine Majesty in order to expiate our sins and those of our brethren, including those who exercise authority. The laity have a fundamental role in this, guarding the Faith within their families, in such a way that our young people who are educated in love and in the fear of God may one day be responsible fathers and mothers, but also worthy ministers of the Lord, His heralds in the male and female religious orders, and His apostles in civil society.
“The cure for rebellion is obedience. The cure for heresy is faithfulness to the teaching of Tradition. The cure for schism is filial devotion for the Sacred Pastors. The cure for apostasy is love for God and His Most Holy Mother. The cure for vice is the humble practice of virtue. The cure for the corruption of morals is to live constantly in the presence of God. But obedience cannot be perverted into stolid servility; respect for authority cannot be perverted into the obeisance of the court. And let’s not forget that if it is the duty of the laity to obey their Pastors, it is even a more grave duty of the Pastors to obey God.”
Israel study Finds that Natural Immunity Protects Much Better Against Infection than Pfizer Vaccine
By Noah Carl
Since the start of the global vaccine roll-out, it’s become increasingly clear that – although the vaccines provide strong protection against severe disease – they provide only limited protection against infection.
Israel and Iceland, two of the most vaccinated countries in the world, have recently seen major outbreaks of COVID-19. Both countries had fully vaccinated 60% of the population by July 1st. Yet by early August, Iceland had posted its largest daily total for the number of new infections since the pandemic began, and case numbers in Israel were soaring.
However, the question of whether vaccines are superior to natural immunity in terms of protection against infection has remained open. According to a Guardianarticle titled “Common myths about Covid – debunked”, which was written by a member of Independent SAGE, natural immunity is “not as good as the protection you get from being vaccinated”.
Yet a new paper suggests the reverse may be true: natural immunity is stronger and longer-lasting than vaccine-induced immunity.
Sivan Gazit and colleagues analysed a large sample of anonymised patient records from Israel. Their sample included two key groups: fully vaccinated people who’d never tested positive; and unvaccinated people who had tested positive.
In addition to matching these two groups for size, and average demographic characteristics, they controlled for ‘immune activation time’. This was done by limiting the sample to people who’d been vaccinated or infected between January 1st and February 28th, 2021.
Patients’ Covid outcomes (subsequent infection, hospitalisation or death) were measured during a follow-up period between June 1st and August 14th.
What did the researchers find? Of the 257 cases that were detected in the follow-up period, 93% occurred in the vaccinated group, and only 7% occurred in the previously infected group. And of nine hospitalisations, eight occurred in the vaccinated group, compared to just one in the previously infected group.
These results indicate that natural immunity confers substantially more protection against infection than vaccine-induced immunity. They also suggest that natural immunity confers more protection against hospitalisation, although one should be cautious here, as there were only nine hospitalisations in total.
The researchers point out that their results may only apply to the Delta variant, and to the Pfizer vaccine, and that they couldn’t control for all relevant differences between the two groups. Nonetheless, their paper provides the strongest evidence to date that natural immunity beats vaccine-induced immunity when it comes to infection.
Francious Balloux of UCL, a self-described “militant corona-centrist”, said the paper “is a bit of a bombshell”. Though he added that “essentially every adult who hasn’t been infected yet greatly benefits from being vaccinated”.
Gazit and colleagues’ findings still need to be replicated. But if they prove to be robust, then government priorities may shift substantially going forward. The case for vaccinating healthy young people will be even weaker. And the case for donating surplus vaccines to poor countries will be that much stronger.
Boris Johnson Will Impose New Lockdown if Reported Covid Deaths Reach Around 1,000 a Week, According to Government Sources
By Michael Curzon
The Prime Minister is said to have devised a cost-benefit analysis to determine whether he should plunge the country into another lockdown. A Government adviser says Johnson would be minded to impose further restrictions if the reported number of Covid-related deaths in the U.K. over the space of a year looked likely to rise above 50,000 (that’s just under 1,000 a week, or 137 a day). inewshas the story.
Downing Street has denied it has set any “acceptable level” of Covid deaths but one adviser, who has been close to the Government since coronavirus struck 18 months ago, told i that Prime Minister Boris Johnson had privately accepted that there would be at least a further 30,000 deaths in the U.K. over the next year, and that the Prime Minister would “only consider imposing further restrictions if that figure looked like it could rise above 50,000”.
The Government’s cost-benefit analysis on Covid measures is believed to set not only the acceptable level of cost to save the life of a Covid patient at up to £30,000, but also how much each life lost costs the U.K. economy.
It is understood the analysis shows that the cost of keeping the annual death rate below 50,000 would outweigh the cost to the U.K. economy of allowing it to rise above this level.
As i revealed earlier this month, the Government has put contingency plans in place should the rate of infection and deaths rise to an “unacceptable level”.
The source said: “The Prime Minister is minded to implement another lockdown or new restrictions only if the figure of annual deaths looks like it’s going to go above 50,000. That means deaths from Covid of 137 a day, or just under 1,000 a week.
“However, it won’t be an immediate reaction. A sustained rate of death of around a 1,000 a week for two or three weeks will, though, lead to discussion on restrictions being reimposed. Unfortunately, prime ministers have to weigh up the cost of saving lives to the impact on the economy. No one wants to talk about that’s how it works.” …
A Downing Street spokeswoman said: “There is no set number of acceptable deaths from Covid.”
But one of the Government’s most senior scientific advisers has also suggested the cost of saving lives could be a factor in the strategy.
Butlin’s Has Muzzled the Redcoats – Not So Much Hi-De-Hi as Low-De-Low
By Toby Young
A reader has got in touch to tell us about his recent experience at Butlin’s. It was ruined by the company’s insistence that all members of staff, including the Redcoats, wear masks at all times.
As the summer holiday season draws to a close, I thought it was worth sharing my experience at Butlin’s – the classic U.K. resort. Unfortunately, it was anything but the post-Step 4 ‘freedom experience’ we expected.
I visited Butlin’s last year in August 2020 and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for them. Here was a business clearly struggling to squeeze whatever it could out of the ludicrous Government-mandated situation. Shows were outside and we were restricted to tables only – you’d see more dancing in present day Afghanistan. So I was keen to enjoy a fully unrestricted experience when we returned in 2021. But I was wrong.
Butlin’s has hit a new Low-de-Low and has mandated facemasks for all staff – seemingly forever. By all staff, I mean all staff – including Redcoats. For those unfamiliar with the holiday camp experience, the Redcoats are the entertainment team. Multi-talented, relentlessly joyous and an intrinsic part of the Butlin’s experience. Except in 2021 they wear grey rags across their faces – the mask has become an official part of the uniform. So there are no smiles, no laughter and little communication.
Butlin’s has just opened ‘Studio 36’ at their Bognor Regis resort. A huge aircraft-hangar sized entertainment space with a ceiling so high you could stack double-decker buses in it. What’s more, the building has more air conditioning units than a Dubai hotel – I counted over 20 inverters lining the walls. It’s better ventilated than the beach. Studio 36 is a massive and impressive area. But here’s the punch line: the loony mask edict leads to a ludicrous situation whereby you can have 1000 unmasked guests dancing, singing and laughing; a six-piece band playing and…wait for it…two Redcoats either side of the band swaying from side to side – all with masks on! What possible ‘safety’ is this? How does forcing two people (the key entertainers) to wear masks, ‘protect’ a room of over a thousand? It is a ridiculous scenario. I feel genuinely sorry for the Redcoats who are forced to facelessly bob along to the music like castrated fluffers.
An even better illustration of this utter nonsense is the Redcoat DJ. The result is a night club scenario with hundreds of holidaymakers disco-dancing away, and the DJ is masked. Masked! The staff member is allowed to take their mask off to introduce the next song, and then they must put it back on!
I would love to have been a fly on the wall when the Butlin’s senior management clowns came up with this. Utter lunacy. Enter a shop, a restaurant, a bar, children’s activity and there are no smiles – just a dark and groaning greyness.
To add a further portion of twisted wokery, Butlin’s have announced that they will be demanding vaccine passports in the Autumn for all their over-18 party events.
We’re publishing an original essay today by historian Guy de la Bédoyère, a regular contributor, about the possibility that Australia may actually break apart as a result of its political leaders’ hopeless mismanagement of the coronavirus crisis. Having gone all in on the disastrous zero-Covid approach, its political class – and public health establishment – has had no choice but to implement more and more draconian lockdown measures, destroying the economy, alienating the business community and transforming working class citizens into seriously pissed-off dissidents. Can the country survive? Probably, but whole scale political collapse is a possibility that shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand. Here is an extract:
My fear though is that Australia, of all the developed modern democratic states, has set out down a path that could in extremis result in the country breaking apart. Let’s not beat about the bush (a more appropriate term for Australia than anywhere else). This is a country that already teeters on the brink of viability. Natural disasters have the potential to destroy large swathes of Australia’s agriculture on a permanent basis. The country has never developed industry to a level that could serve it properly, preferring to rely on selling natural resources to China to make into things that get sent back to Australia. The national infrastructure is ramshackle. It was already the case that the individual states are more interested in their own futures than the country’s. That’s especially evident in WA, marginalised by Australian national politics.
Australia is to some extent only a nation in name. Western Australia, one of the least populous states, is also the largest. Apart from air travel, it is connected to the rest of Australia by a few scrappy roads, easily taken out by a single cyclone, and one railway. For years its colossal mineral resources have bankrolled the country’s wealth. That has caused no end of frustration to Western Australia which benefits less than most states from any federal handouts. Few Australians from the rest of the country ever bother with going to WA. There is little love lost between WA and the eastern states.
There is therefore an incipient sense of nationalism in Western Australia. It’s no more than a conceit at the moment, but Covid is accelerating the sense of frustration. Only now is the federal Government getting it together with the vaccine rollout and desperately trying to roll back the terrible mess it’s made. The chaotic response exhibited until recently has not been Australia’s finest honour. The fiasco has ridden on the back of the zero-Covid fantasy, a Land-That-Might-Have-Been.
Care Homes Could Be Forced to Call On the Relatives of Their Residents to Help Out Due to Staff Shortages Caused by Vaccine Mandate
By Michael Curzon
Staff shortages in care homes caused by Government-imposed Covid vaccine mandates could force some homes to call on the families of their residents to volunteer to work on reception and to serve meals. The Telegraphhas the story.
Providers have voiced fears that shortages caused by workers refusing to be double jabbed will amount to such a significant proportion of the workforce that the sector could collapse.
In what is believed to be the first case of its kind, one care home manager has written to the relatives of residents – many of whom are paying thousands of pounds for care – asking for help with caring duties “if the worst comes to the worst”.
Mike Padgham, Chairman of the Independent Care Group for York and North Yorkshire and owner of Saint Cecilia’s Care Services, which operates four care businesses, said the plan showed the “crisis” facing the sector, adding: “We want to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.” …
The Government has previously estimated that its mandatory vaccination policy will result in about 40,000 care home staff – 7% – either quitting or being sacked, costing the embattled sector £100 million to replace.
According to the latest available data, funded by the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) and published by Skills for Care in October 2020, there were 112,000 vacancies in the sector.
However, industry leaders warned that after the past year, as Covid ravaged care homes, causing the deaths of more than 40,000 residents, this number is now likely to be far higher and could even have doubled.
There are approximately 865,000 care workers, 87,000 senior care workers and 36,000 registered nurses in England, according to figures published by The King’s Fund think-tank in July.
Restrictions to Be Scrapped in Denmark as Covid No Longer “A Critical Threat to Society”
By Michael Curzon
Lockdown restrictions are set to be lifted in Denmark by September 10th after health officials said Covid no longer poses “a critical threat” to the country. Health Minister Magnus Heunicke has, however, warned that the Government “will not hesitate to act quickly” if the situation becomes worse once again. MailOnlinehas the story.
More than 70% of Danes are fully vaccinated and the low levels of Covid in the country led the Health Minister on Friday to announce that the virus is now “under control”.
“The epidemic is under control, we have record vaccination levels. That is why, on September 10th, we can lift the special rules we had to introduce in the fight against Covid,” Health Minister Magnus Heunicke said.
However, he stressed that “the epidemic is not over” and said the Government “will not hesitate to act quickly if the pandemic once again threatens the essential functioning of society”.
Denmark was one of the first countries to introduce a partial lockdown in March 2020, shutting down schools and non-essential businesses and services.
It has relaxed and reinforced its measures throughout the pandemic, and in April introduced a ‘corona passport’ granting holders access to businesses like restaurants, cinemas, gyms and hair salons.
That requirement was already lifted in some places such as museums on August 1st, and masks have not been mandatory on public transport in Denmark since August 14th.
A number of further restrictions are set to end on September 1th. From the start of the month, people will no longer be required to show a valid corona pass to sit in restaurants and bars, though a pass will still be required to enter nightclubs and other large events such as football matches until September 10th.
The change in the classification of Covid will not, however, affect rules on travel into Denmark, which are governed by a separate inter-party agreement which is due to expire in October, a spokesperson for the Health Ministry said.
Denmark has not seen more than five Covid-related deaths per day since February.
